I am a real sucker for house magazines - Real Homes, House Beautiful, Homes and Gardens etc. could have probably paid of my mortgage and had an attic conversion with the amount I have (previously:D) spent.

I have decided not to talk about my dirty little secret at work, after all, don't want to be the weird one:p

PS. does anyone know if you can 'borrow' magazines from libraries? Or is this just a step way too sad:o

Righteo, thank you for popping by - I'm away to crack on with others' diaries so may see you soon.

I am lucky that there are quite a few of us OPing at work, some just to make the most of the low interests and myself and 1 other who want to get rid of the mortgage ASAP, I have one person who doesn't think I am mad!

There's a few in my local library - you can read there but not borrow. Although they are well thumbed and pretty grotty!

  • Hi, I borrow loads of mags from the library, with covers :)

You can only have them for a week though but I tend to flick through on a Saturday and return on Sunday.

Ooh never thought that the library might have magazines. Think that I'm going to re-join our library and find out what they have that is new, haven't been for about ten years - if they do digital books I'll be so pleased! Although just found lots of free books for the Kindle so will wade through those first :)

As for magazines, I buy about 3 per year (house ones!!), the only one me and Mum get on subscription is Essentials which isn't about designer clothes etc. they actually have affordable items and practical suggestions in there. Costs about £22 per year and as we both read it and enjoy it I don't think it is too bad.

Thank you for all the library magazine borrowing replies:T There is a lovely wee library really, really close to my work (I work in a fairly affluent sea-side town, so hopefully nice non-grubby magazines;))

I have some very exciting news - this evening I have taken lots of photographs of FOUR very different items for weekend E-bay upload:j:j:j:j:j:j:j I am so excited to be popping my ebay cherry, and cannot wait to upload and write subliminal 'buy me, buy me' descriptions;)

This will be tomorrow evening's task, as I will download photographs during the day - at work, (I am currently unable to down-load photographs on lap-top for some reason), however this will not set me back as natty is on a mission:p

    Hurray for me!
