Yesterday I had a conversation with a few work colleagues regarding making O/Ps on my mortgage. I could tell that they thought I'd lost the plot.....we'll see who's daft, work colleagues, we'll see.......

    Cue more evil laughter MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

At the moment, as far as your colleagues are concerned, you are MAD. Then one day, when you announce you have paid off the mortgage, you will instantly switch to being LUCKY. There is no inbetween ;).

PS. I've also not been buying magazines for yonkles so perhaps I am cured of these non-essential purchases - I will wait until end of October though before I make a celebratory MOP:p

I am a real sucker for house magazines - Real Homes, House Beautiful, Homes and Gardens etc. could have probably paid of my mortgage and had an attic conversion with the amount I have (previously:D) spent.

Ah, Grasshopper, you have much to learn :D.Magazines are actively encouraged on here - as long as they are of THIS kind, preferably through quidco or TCB :T. Keep an eye on that thread as they often have good deals. Just set up a page on your spreadsheet to monitor them so that you cancel the DD before the 1st 'real' payment kicks in ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Thanks for the tips! I have an am*zon tip to share too...site called camelcamelcamel tracks the prices of all am*zon products and they email you when the product comes back down to a price you are willing to pay - very useful I've found it to be lately !

As for the colleagues who think you are mad who will soon think you are lucky...in the end they will probably be jealous that they didn't think of overpaying sooner too! :)

    Good luck with eBaying Natty!
