Our house is looking quite nice and clean but my office looks like an explosion has taken place in a paper factory - its that bad I leave it until the end every week and then lose motivation for it!

I have 'office envy' as I would love to have a dedicated wee office space in the house (rather than current situation of laptop sitting precariously on top of mounds of work material!) That said, with a wee bit of jiggery-pokery and approximately £60K, I could have said office space...best get cracking on with DY:p

Hi there. I'm still finding my feet with this site but have stumbled across the MFW area and have been blown away with all the stories. I was drawn to your thread by your name (makes me smile btw :D) and so wanted to say hi and well done on your journey so far. :T
I'm hoping that I can gain some inspiration and confidence to maybe try this for myself. Thanks for sharing your story

    Hi BookWorm

Thank you for dropping by my diary, although any nuggets of inspiration will be extremely hard to find here;) However, the other diaries on this board have great mortgage reduction tips (I'm still in the process of reading through people's diaries) and some really impressive achievements. I will keep an eye out for your diary - should you start one.
PS. MFW is such a friendly, welcoming board - you'll love it!

There is a fair chance (depending on number of future offspring!) that I will have to give up my lovely office one day and have a laptop on top of mounds of work! For now though I'll just enjoy the paper-filled office :)

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm not I'm ready for a diary just yet but if/when I do, I'll be sure to let you know!
I'm happy just learning as much as I can at this stage and 'finding my feet' on the boards.
    Have a great sunday! :)

Well, it's another beautifully sunny (but very cold and crisp!) day here on the East Coast of Scotland, so more washing has been done and is hanging out to dry.

Egg rolls this morning (newspapers and rolls purchased earlier - £2.50) so I have £43.60 to see me through to next weekend. My initial thought was 'easy peasy' however I have just remembered that little boy racer could do with some petrol so possibly only £23.60 until next weekend, slightly more challenging.

Today I have the joy of bathroom deep-cleaning - including tiles, so this will require some decent tunes and much hardcore effort.

But first...coffee has been brewing and the smell is mmmmmmmmmm. Away to catch up on diaries.

moneycurious - that is so spooky (cue twilight zone music...doo doo doo doo doo doo doo dooooooo) I was away to start on your diary after catching up on ecoelle's.

Thank you for the bathroom support and good luck with the wardrobes:T

10 more minutes on here, then it's on with the rubber gloves for me (schexy!).

I think today I will extend to 30 minutes solid cleaning and 15 minutes MFW-ing.

  • I was going to say enjoy cleaning, but I don't think thats possible, so hears to getting it over and done with!!

Just been upstairs to open all the windows to get a bit of air into the house and had to climb over the mound of ironing in the spare room so I think i know what I'm going to be doing this afternoon ( and no, as much as I want to, thats not shutting the door and hiding from it! )

**WARNING** This Entry is for Saddos (aka me!) Only ** Warning**

Okay, I do realise that this is a MFW diary and not a clean house wanabee board, however MY BATHROOM IS FINALLY CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN:j

I cannot stop admiring it and am so proud (as well as relieved) as my friend is coming over tonight for a catch-up, and the usual wave of terror will not seep through my soul when she utters the question I normally dread........... 'can I use your loo?'

So hoping she doesn't need to go :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)
