Natty's Kicking her Mortgage in the Pants Diary

And.......I'm back (although that was 27 minutes worth!)
In that time slot, I cleared the hall of tat, and the front porch; shoes, charity bags (to fill), doggy-bags (don't worry these are unused - house isn't THAT dirty!!) and tins of paint(??!!). The floors have been mopped (hurrah for Stardr*ps) and the mop bucket water is testament to just how manky the hall floor was - the carpet was uplifted and the floorboards were sanded over the summer as they are in a lovely condition, considering how old they are. Speaking of which, I have original tiles in the front porch which are lovely colours and pattern, however the dirt is engrained so I will look up the internet to see if there are any (hopefully old-fashioned *AKA cheap*) remedies to remove engrained dirt and bring the lovely tiles back to life.

Good luck:) Think i could do with following your example, feel very overwhelmed by the housework at the moment, the house never seems to stay tidy.
ecoelle - I too have been feeling overwhelmed with housework, if I could afford a cleaner I really do think this would be my one luxury however I could not justify this just now (unfortunately!)
I made up my mind this morning that today is catch-up cleaning and washing as I quite honestly haven't done any 'proper' cleaning for ages (only general tidying up), and as the sun has been out and and shining through the house the dust and dirt are all too noticeable...bring on the dark days of winter, that's what I say:rotfl:

I'm just waiting on hall floors drying, however I have no excuse to hang out the washing, so off I pop again.
Back soon
PS. We can have a dust-a-thon

Mmmmm just realised the spelling should be ingrained, and one forum mentioned using nitromors which I do have in the house....very, very small patch test first of all I think.
Ah well, sun is still out so hanging out washing time which means that I have to go through the dreaded utility room which has weeks worth of dumped items and mountains of un-ironed washing that I have been ignoring, and now this is on my radar today I will have to sort through....whahhhhhaaahhhaa:(

Ah....washing out and more in the machine. Cup of tea time and a good 20 minutes reading of others' diaries.
I am quite enjoying this 20 minute burst of clearing/cleaning malarky;)

Brilliant lulabelle - you are keeping me going!
I am just away to tackle the kitchen - I may be some time:o
In advance, I poured left over wine from last night back into the wine bottle (it will be only me drinking from this I hasten to add!).
The question is, am I being minky or ultra:money: ?February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
