Hospital Car Parking fines Help Help!!

The tickets are from the hospital itsel and not a company.
Right...not Aintree by any chance (you don't have to answer...)?
This scratch card, do you have to pay for a batch of them? By not using one on some days are you therefore getting out of paying them for the parking?
And how do they know who was driving, have you talked to anyone about this at all? I could have been driving, anyone with 3rd party insurance could drive your car - however as you work there have they assumed it's you every time?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You can batch. But have to display it. Not aintree0

But do you have to pay for each scratchcard, about a pound a day? I have just found such hospital schemes online.
Why would you not pay that, why not show a scratchcard if that's the scheme in place?!
Please don't try to pretend that any advice to dodge car park daily fees has been given on this forum, because it hasn't (I am sure you know that really). Ignore fake PCNs, yes, but to 'not bother' to pay the daily rate to park, especially in your workplace, is madness and selfish behaviour which actually perpetuates the raison d'etre of any PPC!
Last question...sniff sniff...which PPC do you work for...?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Freemason, I haven't read every reply so I apologise in advance if my information mirrors what has been stated already - but here goes.
Firstly with regards to your fear that you may have committed fraud. FRAUD normally implies that you have been wrongfully taking something you shouldn't, although it can also be when you haven't paid what you should. For example if own a home and have a lodger which you neither declare for income tax reasons nor for council tax - continuing to pay your 25% discount rate while earning from your lodger. Then that would also be considered fraud.
Your situation could not be farther away from such an accusation. So, if your hospital wishes to consider you not paying private parking tickets an act of fraud, let them take it to the Fraud Squad (the police, whoever). They will just make idiots of themselves. Meanwhile, if somebody feels that your non-payment of tickets requires legal attention, their only course of action is to take the matter to County Court: the body which resolves civil disputes, because THAT is all that this is. You have taken nothing from the state and no part of your action is fraud.
Ask yourself a question. imagine each of those invoices (NOT fines) were valid. Why didn't your antagonist act upon the first? How did it reach 63?
Be that as it may, I wish to advise on another matter. My ex-wife (mother of my son) also works in a hospital so I know what you may be going through. Your employer had better watch his step, and be very careful to whom he points the finger of "fraud" (sorry, my use of 'he' and 'him' pertain to gender default within language, I don't use 'he/she' or 'they' but this is nothing sexist). If you have any correspondences that mention the word "fraud", hold onto them. I'll tell you why, if your employer starts to get heavy - you take him down the road. I don't mean County Court, I mean Employment Tribunal. You can have them for anything and cases do not cost you to bring forward. If you are dismissed for not paying those tickets, or if they DARE put one filthy hand on your wages, they will land themselves in boiling acid. Since this is a private affair and the contract is between driver (NOT employee) and landowner (regardless of whether he employs you), and since we know that demands on those parking tickets are illegal, you can pin your employer for Unlawful Deduction of Wages should they attempt to cut your pay to compensate for these alleged charges. If they sack you, you've get them by the balls on Wrongful Dismissal and if they continue to pester you, nail them with Workplace Harassment Laws, but this is all ET (Employment Tribunal). You won't pay, and I have had experience with them, nothing frightens management figures more than a worker that knows his rights and pledges ET action.0 -
100% with coupon mad, this really does not sound kosher,i worked in hospital for many many years, does not ring true, just my opinion????0

Hi Thanks for all the replies. I am not trying to get out of paying the daily parking rate. I have paid this but on occasions i have missed this due to forgetting or being in a rush. I dont even mind paying the daily 1 pound for the 63 episodes as a back dated payment though i doubt they will accept this. But i am concerned that accusations of fraud are being made.0

If accusations of fraud are mentioned then it's a criminal matter so the police would be involved, but this is a civil matter on private land, the police will think its as much bs as I do. Whether some are questioning the legitimacy of yourself is up to them, I will give the benefit of the doubt here. Basically I would go with post #9 and offer their losses of £63, if they refuse that then you'll have it in writing that you offered to remedy the situation and they refused.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
There was a thread on tailgating out of a carpark to avoid paying, so a similar scenario
Fraud or theft.

How on earth is it a similar situation? They are completely and utterly different.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

I've read the thread and the key issue doesn't seem to be mentioned. It is not theft since nothing was taken. As for the other, it can no more be fraud this way than when you don't buy a ticket and ignore the threatograms.
Tailgating is risky because it you mistime and your vehicle comes into contact with the lowering barrier, you'll get bodywork damage on your motor whilst if the device itself gets wrecked, then you are in legal trouble.
It cannot compare to running away from taxis whereby you exploited a driver's time and fuel; not paying in a retaurant is not a crime. Volenti non fit injuria when they allow you to dine first and pay after and besides, if you are not happy with the service, you can openly refuse to part with a penny. Old Bill isn't going to come with the handcuffs where the unsatisfied customer has explained his position in a civilised manner to the face of the manager. And where you do pay up front, by right they should refund it if you were not pleased with things.
Bottom line: driver enters car park and is bound by terms of signage; he tailgaits out but does not harm the barrier - company can again only seek losses resulting from driver action. They would have a stronger case to identify the driver and the courts would certainly question the keeper if he kept it silent - but provided the PPC only sought losses. Won't happen.0
