    All good things come to those that wait, & I am not being religious, i just wish i was getting a brand new pc or lappy...enjoy!

    Well just to confirm that they do deliver on time. MIL's comp arrived yesterday as promised, and a very happy bunny she is too. Now I need to learn Vista features very quickly so that I can show her.....:rolleyes:.

    What is really strange is that on WW's tracking site it states that it reached Coventry at 00:07 this morning. As I live in Birmingham, it seems even more bizzare that my lovely new PC is going to be sitting around, barely 30 miles from where I am, till next Wednesday... boo hooooo! :cry:

  • Sadly I have had no response from the above "Customer Advocate".

    The computer came 8 days after dispatch and with an incorrect keyboard but they insist that it's the right one. The one I saw on the order stage had volume controls and hotkeys (multimedia keyboard), the one I've received has nothing except the basic keys. But 'customer care' have been firm and said it's definitely the right keyboard. :rolleyes:

    Uh-huh, so much for customer service. It's all very well posting on public forums to give an impression to the wider public that you care about your customers so much that you actually reach out to ensure they are happy.

    If DELL really did care, I'd at least have received an acknowledgement/read receipt by now. Very disappointed and beware potential buyers if you do want to buy DELL, you'd better hope nothing goes wrong because heaven help you should you require 'customer service'.

    Not to hand at the moment, I have PDF printout from the order summary screen and that says usb multimedia keyboard... :confused:

    Just checked a Desktop Order that I had placed which came with the Extra buttons and on the PDF Order comfirmation I have the following

    UK/Ire (QWERTY) - Dell Enhanced USB Multimedia Kyb

    If you dont have the "Enhanced" bit, you have ordered the wrong keyboard when placing the order.

    If you do, then get onto Dell and state "Enchanced" on order form and they have to replace it.

    Yes, Ive just checked the dell website and it includes the wording Enchanced for the keyboard if selected in the summary. link provided

    If you have ordered the right one, ring them up and demand a replacement and point out this to them.
