Had a similar thing Judi. Was given one price to insure my car -clean licence, few years no claims discount. Then asked about putting husband on it too, he has driven a company car for 20 years so doesn't have any no claims bonus, he also had points on his license for sppeding a few years previous and to add him made it cheaperJudi wrote:A few years ago we found out it would have been cheaper for me to insure our car on a provisional license with him as a 'named driver' than it would have been for MrJudi to insure it himself with 70% no claims discount.
