When I first entered the website, I put my code given into the sky sports package first as that is really all that I wanted.

It then gave me the entertainments package which I wasn't that fussed about but to me clearly stated that I would get Sky Sports package 1 and 2 +The entertainments package for £11.25 per month.

Now realised I am not going to get this so will wait for an interesting phone call over the next day or so from a sky representative.

Firstly, you cannot take the Sports packages without having the entertainment pack - a pain is the proverbial but them's the rules!

Secondly, see my post above - it does state 'Upfront payment discount: GBP 10 off TV - month 1 only' on the right-hand side under the first monthly cost section. Again, terribly confusing layout by Sky but you aren't going to be having an interesting phone call from a Sky representative, you are simply going to be told you misinterpreted the offer. To be fair to them, the offer is made clear on the MSE link, on the first page after the MSE special link, etc...
    Personal ISA Contributions Challenge - current £0 (as at 1 April 2014) / target £15,000 (deadline 31 Mar 2015)
  • In the end I didn't bother as this is for the bedroom and I cannot connect to a phone line. Manual activation is £25 extra.

No chance and to say it clearly stated £11.25 for all these packages is nonsense I suggest you take another look as it is clear these would be £21.25 ...

It certainly didn't clearly state it was going to be £21.25 to pay every month either. I have retained the printouts if Sky want to see evidence of their misleading offer. Anyway really not that bothered now about it.

I guess they won't honour it and as other posters have stated the outlining of the pricing plan could be a lot clearer. I guess they might still want my business as a new customer so I expect they will want to make some kind of offer to retain me.

I doesn't say £21.25 anywhere, the consumer shouldn't have to work out what they will be paying, it should be there in black and white because that is the price they are consenting to leave their bank account. I kept my screen shot from the last time I had this issue with Sky. They wouldn't budge and I ended up cancelling it. I have taken this offer because it is still a good offer, but the words MONTHY COST mean just that, monthly. Not the first month, every month.
  • hi

sky website is not accepting my mse sky 50% off code...
and it showing the offer is only of first 1500 customers....

that means even though i have my unique code and sky website has technical problem, I can't take this offer...

I chatted with 2-3 sky people all r saying wait for some time ....I m trying to use code from last thursday and still didn't use it...

    anyone have suggestion???
  • I was lucky enough to get one of the codes on the first day they generated them. I couldn't get on the website so just gave up thinking that the codes must have already hit the first 1000. Then I tried the following day and it worked. I had a couple of queries though so I just called them up. They took my MSE code over the phone and replicated the deal I had built online with the code. They are coming next week to install. If you have a code definitely give them a call. 0844 241 4141. HTH:)
