Like most people on this thread, I too have received a letter from Tower Investigations and as has been suggested by quite a few people, I'm putting it in file 13 (bin). A few weeks ago I received the following text "Mr (Me) please telephone DAVID SYKES as a matter of urgency on 0208 336 7145." I rang it as I have an old Army colleague with that name, there was no answer so I left it at that. Out of curiosity I Googled that name and phone number and he too works as a debt collector, also mentioned was Global Debt Recovery. I've also noted that his number is very very similar to Tower Investigations, there's is 0208 336 7155, David Sykes has the same local area code and is 0208 336 7145. What's the odds on them all being in cahoots with each other. Anyway I hope one of them does call me, as I'm ex squaddie I could swear for England and would relish an exchange of opinions.0

I got a letter from them today too, it felt a bit like a scam when i read it so did a quick google and found this thread, so glad i did! I feel much more reassured now about putting it aside and not responding to them! I know i don't have any debts, never taken out a loan or used a credit card, although i do worry about not dealing with it and being bombarded with letters, we'll see if they send any follow-ups.. I'm going to call CAB on monday just to see if they can pursue the company in any helpful way and in the meantime i won't be calling them. If the CAB have any advice i'll post it up here.0

I had a call a few weeks ago from a company (not sure of the name) Telling me I owed Ebay some money! I laughed of course, and said " You cant rack up debt on Ebay" Anyway left it at that, and today have recieved a text saying " (My Name ) Please call DAVID SYKES as a matter of urgency on 0208 336 7145"... Am I right that I can just ignore this????0

I've received a letter today it says as follows.
We act on behalf of a client and are currently conducting an investigation in order to establish/verify who you are.
It then goes on to say how they'd greatly appreciate me contacting them to confirm who I am.
Bizarre really as my full name is on the letter my full address and I'm on the electoral register so if they are investigating who I am surely they've Sussed that mystery out already seen as how they've sent me the stupid letter.
No reference to who 'a client' is either. Also says on the letter next to company details
private investigators, surveillance specialist and genealogical experts. Missed off abusive debt collectors then Judging from previous comments .0
