When I got mine the first thing I made was meringues.
As wonder collie said just use it how you would your hand mixer.

A few things that your KA will do that you're hand mixer wouldn't--
-Shred cooked, boneless chicken. Just chuck it in with the paddle.
-knead dough. I've made flat breads, pretzels, pizza and bread with mine and it is nice not to have to knead it by hand. Be sure to check the maximum flour quantities in your white guide book first.0 -
