On the subject of Gyp, I waited 30 min at a drive thru for chicken. I was able to complete some of my other reports from that day while I waited so not completly wasted. Still anticipating some kind of query.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

    Hi all,

having a mare over a greasy burger!! Did the job a month ago and they had no working toilet, upstairs cordoned off and downstairs 'out of order' sign.

They initially queried my timings and said they were checking CCTV but no mention of the timings since so I assume they were right.

I have, however, had three emails questioning my observation of the toilets. The latest one asking whether I bothered to read the sign on the toilet properly as the restaurant claim it said the manager had a key (for the out of order toilet!!!)

I've just lost my rag with them and told them this is my honest opinion as a potential customer and should they be unwilling to accept that, fine, but don't question my honesty.

    Any advice??

(p.s. hate greasy burger jobs, heard manager on last drive thru telling staff to 'get the blue nissan through quickly')

Never say anything bad about the toilets even if they are filthy with unmentionables up the wall and on the floor. You are likely to get the sack if you do. It goes against the grain but you have to ignore quite a lot with certain companies Just keep quiet and take the money - they are not worth worrying about.

This is a deplorable attitude to this work !

If you complete the job correctly, put truthful, accurate and well structured comments you will not be sacked, but appreciated, even by Gap.

Yes they do rotate their assessors occasionally, but they are generally a reasonable company if you work well for them.

Totally agree. I have given many a bad gap report, and I've not been sacked.

I agree too. I have made complaints to GAP and never been sacked, why shouldn't I if they are playing a guessing game of who the shopper is!

Please just stop doing jobs now.
You undermine the whole process for Everyone else if this is your attitude to reports.

Unless they stated that was the exact reason they sacked you, your wrong to suggest it was.
I am unable to do that client, except special purchases, and it wasnt for giving bad reports. I gave many a good and many a bad over the many many that i did.
regardless that approach to dealing with mystery shopping will just encourage many companies to stop paying for visits at all if all they get is perfect results

Omg I am so annoyed and need to take my anger out somewhere so please allow me to do so here.
I am NEVER EVER going to take up another RA visit. They pay you SO LITTLE and expect you to write such long answers for each question. 1000 characters for one question? I don;t know what details to give.
I recently did their railway visit and there is not much I can say as the stores were so small and not much could be analysed and talked about .

I am fed up. Still got one more report to send

Wow. I'm liking RE/MF more and more as each day goes by. I phoned up yesterday asking if I could have £2 mileage for a health shop visit that's not due until next week, in other words, it's not urgent. (I'm already doing a check for IMS in that town anyway and they will pay me mileage). Allocator said "I'm really sorry, but I can't let you have £2 mileage, but I can increase the fee by £10. How is that for you?". Result or what? This is the 3rd time they have done that now. Wow.

Try your luck with them, you never know. Thanks to PROSHOPPER who told me to ask for extra money a long while ago.
