I absolutely love the reveal ones. More so when the sa is a smug little cow that is condescending, degrading and not helpful at all. I just love it when they go from being superior and awful to lovely and friendly! Did 1 this week where the sa was excellent, she had in depth knowledge and was genuinely happy to help, when I handed her the letter she was not phased at all. It's the ones that do not enjoy the job or can't be bothered following the procedure that get upset/change attitude when the letter is handed over, and to be fair, I guess that's what ms'ing is about.

I have 3 more to do next week and I so can't wait! I like the fact that peope don't like doing these visits. More don't get picked up and I can ask for an even bigger premium than ever before, hehehe.

Does anyone know if you are you allowed to return the MF sparkly purchase for a refund? Can't see anything on the brief to say you can't.

I like them too... my only concern was doing local ones who would tell the street who I was, as there are a few I can complete in a row so I don't do those, only the ones which I seldom visit if I'm in that area but otherwise, they are always fine with me with the reveal. In fact, every mystery shop I do is always fine as long as I am constructive with criticism except GAP burgers and then I get defensive because no one else questions me. Just out of interest, if you could reveal to a ms you don't who would it be? I think I'd like MF spicy chicken to reveal at some point ;)

I would love to do it for the riot sport shops for RE. Ooooh now how good would that be. They normally get a score of less than 4 as most of their staff are superiorily rude and think they are special because they have like 50 tattoos down their arm and have 20 piercings on their face! I can just imagine handing over the reveal letter before the manager calls a bunch of thugs to accost you on the way out, hahaha!

I'm not bothered about staff knowing I am the ms, with most of the crazy briefs we have to follow, it would be a miracle if they genuinely did not know I was the ms. I mean hello: asking a stamp shop mos if they sell a certain brand of tea; and thanks for spending the last half hour with me and giving me all the information about the £800 tv, I will just take some batteries thanks. ;)

Yeah i did a health food 1 - not the reveal. And their recommendations were all £20+ then i had to buy something for a fiver. If i set up my own business id make it far more realistic. Esp gaps fav client - id let the ms order anything & take family - that would reveal the truth and then i wouldnt give the shopper a load of crap afterwards !!

I guess they need the meal orders consistent otherwise the timinings would not be worth assessing. I think they should just trust the MS to order the right meal and accept credit card receipts instead of an itemised receipt. They can get a good idea from the total what was ordered in any case.

I've only ever done a couple of reveal jobs, and to be fair I didn't have any grounds for criticism in them. Like any other occassion where you're giving feedback in person, start with the positive, which makes it easier to establish a dialogue, deliver the criticism objectively combining it with constructive criticism, and leave on a positive recomendation.

I did an IMS cheap supermarket which is basically a reveal as soon as they give you the change, the cashier thanked me, I smiled, thanked them and said "That's was great. I'm your mystery shopper and I've got no complaints at all there..". It's a bit of a flip in the way, because you're doing a job for their employer, so they suddenly become the customer.

If there's nothing good to say, ask them how they think it went and let them keep digging.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

Gap are only interested in the timings. These are usually complete by the time the receipt is mentioned and your cover is blown.

The same format is used on hundreds / thousands of visits each month so they have to be standardised.

The unit's bonuses are dependant on the report - so if they get a bad one they will try and discredit you. It's all part of the game.

If you do the job correctly, follow the rules, and give whatever follow-up information they may request, you have nothing to worry about. When you agree to do the job you agree to answer any follow-up they may request.

If your cover is blown, you may be restricted from a site for a while or for ever. Occasionally you may be 'rested' for ever, but this is usually for more than just a bad report.

They do except card receipts? I've had mine accepted before or maybe they just missed them if they don't. Dunno
