Agencies tend to let you know the day they run payroll, with a standard BACS payment this will take three to four days, when you are dealing with overseas agencies the time scales will differ, if you have an issue with an agency why not contact them? If it is still an issue then don't work for them. To be honest whinging here is getting you nowhere.
This is a cash flow business and many agencies wait till money has come in before it can go out.0 -

I agree... Its also about money saving and I know I may sound petty but a day or two in their account earning interest at GYP is a day or two less in mine losing me it. Hope Martin would be proud I'm angry I'm losing interest!! :rotfl:0 -
I can be an utter c..t some days.
Gyp burger place today, I went in, went for a whizz, joined the queue, started my stopwatch, stopped it at he appropriate times, orderred something from the approved menu list, paid cash, asked for a receipt. Sat back and ate my lunch and watched the ensueing floorshow.
When the manager mingled in the restuarant asking people how their meal was and particularly heading towards me, I hought I'd answer the question fairly.
I told him the toilets were clean, the timings were fine, the staff were friendly and the food passes all the criteria, with just the right amount of ice in the drink.
And that if I still worked for Gyp, he'd probably have got full marks, but I don't.
Apart from that, it's been a really boring day, but you've gotta get your laughs somehowYes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
There is actually an American lad on YouTube telling people how to get VIP treatment from the burger place by telling the whole gap scenario for gap America. It is quite funny and slightly differs from the uk one but none the less...... It might be time for them to have a rethink0

And I woke up to find an email from gap with a load of questions (again) they refused to pay me for my last one because I ate the burger 4 mins after receiving it (this was cause I felt it was hot so did not need to hurry) I know for next time to take a bite right in the middle of the restaurant 2 seconds after picking up my tray. So I took this one on the chin and made my more recent shop perfect.
So I am being asked what time I entered and left and to confirm the timings plus a description of me that the manager has thought he has identified.
I take it from this that he will be watching carefully to find fault so that i dont get paid.
It is a complete loads of rubbish. I do not get the point - I gave them a brill report other than long timings which was due to a massive queue.
I am not waiting for payment before I deactivate my acc.
Problem is that they must be desperate in my area and keep ringing me even though I keep sending them emails telling them I do not get why I am being asked so many questions.
grrrr - RANT over.
On the plus side I have found some companies excellent to work with during my first 6 weeks of this new found career. I will just stick to them and not worry about the time wasters.0
