Has anyone had any of the TNS phone visits allocated yet? Mine are all still pending but I notice all the visits have disappeared from the Jobs Boards.

Thanks! :) They had a good report, so I cannot understand why the shop would be kicking up a fuss. As you said, why would a member of staff potentially jeopardise their job by saying that they knew they had been shopped?! If it was a good report they'd keep schtum! Plus, why did AA start off by repeatedly questioning me what colour hair the member of staff had, even though this was clearly stated in my report. I'm not going to change my mind about that! Seems like they are a very dodgy company. I'm glad to have had your advice.

Wizz, all you need to do is go to their front page and listen to that VERY creepy pop up lady to know they are as dodgy as they come.

Yet I have visited them before and in person they are really nice. Even gave me a cup of tea. There were aware that people think their fees are low as they asked me about this. I think they check this thread.

Well if they do you'd think they might bloody well do something about the way they treat their shoppers and the fact that their "scenarios" are among the most blatantly obviously "I'm a mystery shopper" scenarios out there.

Also didnt realise you were up this corner of the world DA

And lookie who has sent out a begging email to get one of their bed visits covered.

Dear AA, there is a reason why you struggle to get visits covered, you treat your shoppers like fools.

I have no knowledge if this is how mystery shopping might work but I have often wondered if it might be in the MS company's interest for the stores they shop to improve over time and the odd weird question chucked in might be there to purposefully alert the MOS to give good service and improve results. This may also explain why some MS companies don't seem to want to know if you provide a bad report.

Not that I am the kind of person to believe in conspiracy theories or anything..

On a totally unrelated note, I have not been paid for three jobs in the last few years of mystery shopping - two of them were my own stupid fault and the other was with AA when I had an uncooperative member of staff.

I always refuse to answer agencies questions about my appearance, we do this work covertly and it isn't good to have everyone ID you from CCTV.

Totally agree. I once had a very annoying conversation with Gyp on this very subject when they asked me over and over again if I was wearing a certain colour coat!

Well, after I refused their offer to pay me half they have given me the email address of their executive director after I complained it was unprofessional that they didn't have a complaints procedure displayed anywhere on their website as any reputable company would.

It is a shame when the same msc names crop up when discussing those that shoppers tend to have problems with.

I would imagine the vast majority of us would accept non payment when we have messed up on the assignment but there have been too many instances of payments being withheld for spurious reasons by AA.
