I wouldn't apply for a job where it says you might only get paid for an hour or two, or have I read that wrong?

Agreed I would do it for 4 hours or none at all.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

So you may or may not get 3.5 hours at double digit £ per hour. in a city centre where the parking costs a fortune. You have no real idea how much you will earn so why on earth would anyone even think of taking this kind of work? At least with MFers you know exactly what the crap fee is before you commit. Sorry pal but I really hope you don't get these covered on this basis!

The pay times are from starting on site to completion and the estimated job times listed are what I expect each job to last based on the number of people working there and data given to me on required work, based on my personal previous experience of how long it takes an average person to do thejob.
That means if you try to drag it out to last 6 instead of 4 Ill know... but if it genuinely takes that long due to additional work when we get there then youd be paid for it in full, in cash, at the end of the shift
But working at night, people would obviously want to get home to bed asap and therefore if its finishes after 5 hours (due to extra people there) instead of 6, then you'd only get paid for the 5... does that make sense ?

    Sorry you feel this way.
Perhaps I havent clarified enough or perhaps I or you are missing something from this

The hours listed are generally the minimum number of hours its expected so people can decide if they have this amount of free time and is based on how many other people I already have going to that particular site and will be a gauge of the fee, but if people get it done quicker then obviously they would only get paid for the hours on site (though its not likely to go from 3.5 to 1 hour or anything like that).
i believe all locations have FREE onsite parking, however if necessary I can cover parking costs with an appropriate copy of parking receipt/ticket. Ive offered transport for people to get home after late nights if they use public transport and dont have their own car and mileage towards getting there if needed...
If people are genuinely interested for a particular location contact me, of course they will know the fee in advance and can decided to commit or not.

Penalising people for working efficiently isn't going to make people want to work with you. You're better off paying per job and if it takes longer because there is genuine extra work then giving a bonus.

Potentially, but I dont think its physically possible to do these any more efficiently than the times ive listed
If I were to fix fee it, I would have to go the IMS route and say fee is X and estimated to take Y where in reality Y is likely to be less than it will take to do.
As I am billing the client on a per man hour basis Im not in a position to guarantee Z where Z is the maximum possible time it may take, where in reality it may not take that long. I think its better to pay a fair rate for what people actually work ?

Errr no i have not missed anything.

If you think there is ANY free parking at or close to the Arndale then sorry you are wrong. I worked in the Arndale tower for 2 years and it costs a fortune.

How can they possibly know the fee in advance when you say its done on a job and knock basis and you are paid for the hours worked.

I know folk have said TNS supermarkets have photos of mystery shoppers in the back, do GR supermarkets do the same?

I do merchandising as well as MS. I've been out the back in all the supermarket brands and have seen the mystery shopper reports on noticeboards, but I've never seen any photographs of shoppers.
Here I go again on my own....

Slappers don't have pictures but as Becs says they do have the reports.
