hi
I haven't read everything on here, but just wanted to find out about Market Force. As I live in a city with no car of my own and having to rely on public transport (buses mainly, tho' sometimes trains if visiting relatives for longer distances to other cities) is it worth my taking up their offer of employment? I've signed up and they've sent me a profile enquiry thing for me to complete online. Also, read somewhere that I have to use my work email address for contact. Why is this and not the generic ones that most people use? I don't want my work company to find out that I've a 2nd job as I'm sure our emails are randomly checked.
Is it worth doing this whilst being in full-time employment (M-F, office hours, so will have evenings and the whole w/end to do the MSing)? I'd like to leave the job I'm in now, but I shan't do that til another job comes up, but being single and short of money, I'd like to see if MSing is the way forward for me. Will my jobs be restricted due to my being w/o the ability to travel far (15 miles radius is all i can travel) and also that my time is available after work post 5pm and w/ends only?
What kinda of income do most ppl come out with for on average? Sorry, to be so pertinent but I'd like to know if this is worth all the trouble given that you'd have to pay your own tax.
thanks...
ps. I do believe in the role of the MS as there is so much carp out there with the dire service levels that these companies dole out. when i was younger, i use to complain but as i've got older most times it isn't worth it as the so-called managers just don't appreciate your point of view when you tell them something negative..
pps. is it a prerequisite to own a printer-scanner, smart phone (having to access emails/site for jobs) and a camera/camera phone as well. none of these i have, but can accumulate if needs be.0 -

given you have no experience, no equipment, no means of independent travel I recommend you do not give up a job hoping to want to replace it with work from Market Force.
The number of jobs you would have to cover with their fees would take you over a year just to pay for the equipment (although if wholly for business use they are tax deductible not that you would have to pay any given the low wages you would earn).
Market force is not an employment, it is a means to possibly gain a few extra pounds on way to another job or get a free meal.
the first line of your post is very important and something you should rectify, it will enlighten you a whole lot.
You are unlikely to be the only person in your city doing work, and so will face competition from experienced and not so experienced new people alike. An offer from MF just means you get to apply for the jobs like every one else on a fastest finger first.
Yes you can make an independent income from mystery shopping and auditing alone, but never from MF.
Sorry if that is not what you want to hear but it sometimes the truth hurts.
read though everything on this and the other posts, it will be very beneficial you can then decide if this is an area you wish to explore further. if it is the best of luck, if not, its better to know now rather than later.0 -

Firstly what Whitelabel said makes plenty of sense. There are two of us that I know on here that are based in Notts, and another that definitely travels to notts to do work.
Do you work in the city centre? You will find work on MF but financially its not going to send you to the Bahamas. I know I would struggle to get much done if I didn't drive as like you I work relatively normal hours full time.
I book days of work sometimes to do a days circuit if possible. Hard work without a car, impossible to make it cost effective with MF.
Asking what kind of money people earn is like asking how long is a piece of string. Until you know how much time you are willing to give up and sign up to more companies than MF you just wont know. I earn now more than I did a year ago and very few of those are for MF. good company to cut your teeth with though. With a bit of experience comes better judgement as to what your time is worth.
Regarding a printer, unless you plan on printing everything at work then yes you will need one. Smart phone, no you don't need one but it is useful (well I think so). You at least need a camera to upload pics of receipts, shop pics.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

I've not got around to doing any myself but when I asked a similar question a while back I was advised to have a couple of spare sim cards to avoid being plagued by salesmen hassling with follow up calls.0
