The toilets are water free so clearly thats impossible.
Maybe they should just up everyones flights in price to cover "free" water, alcholic drinks, meals, etc?
That's what they used to do. Do you remember when you used to get a meal on the flight to London? You were hardly likely to starve on a one hour flight. Pointless.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
It's not tap water at restaurants that's the issue, it's getting tap water at airports. You could go hours without water + on the flight some airlines don't provide free water. I flew from Luton Airport last week and couldn't find anywhere to fill up (or any staff member to try asking) then on the Ryanair flight they only sold water. I'm just too stubborn to pay for water. I just couldn't do it so went about 5 hours without water.
I've started walking with watery fruits (grape etc) which provide hydration and don't get restricted.
As far as this thread is concerned, tap water in restaurants IS the issue. The clue is in the title.
As for 'watery fruits' such as grapes - surely you had to spend money on those?0 -

This facility was removed recently when they started building works and hasn't been replaced. Also, we have not seen it at the continental airport we use.
Isn't it time the EU made this a mandatory requirement at all airports?
Doncaster Robin Hood Airport is just as bad.
No water fountains AND the Wetherspoons there refuses to serve tap water when you are eating or drinking.
They state that they will only give water if you need it to take a tablet!!!0 -

Yes, though thats my point - including all these things in the price simply pushes the prices up overally. The likes of Ryanair and Easyjet seperate all that out and you pay only for the bits you want.0 -
Exactly. You pays your money...0

Want free tap water? Then if you are at Bletchley Park to see the Enigma machine they have free water in the snack side of their refreshments. Something I did not see until after I had paid £1.50 for a bottle.0
