Anyone else been refused tap water in restaurant

Cinemas in England, Scotland and Wales that serve alcohol for consumption on the premises must serve tap water on request. They may charge for the cost of service but not for the water itself. In Northern Ireland they do not have to serve tap water on request, whether free or not.I notice that my cinema (Cineworld) serves alcohol. Does anyone know if this means they must serve tap water? Thanks.0 -
During a friend's round at the pub, he asked for a glass of tap water with some ice for me as the driver. Afterwards we worked out that he had been charged £1.20 for it. When asked, the landlord said it was the charge for the ice. If it didnt have ice, then he would have given it for free!0
