I'm waiting for mine to come, from ebay. I ordered one and sent it back (squished my boobs but fit perfectly everywhere else) though as pretty as it was, it wasn't right for me. Quality was ok, but not amazing. It was a UK seller from Feltham.

The other one is from jewlz. It's 3x th price of the other one (£205) and fingers tightly crossed, it'll be fine. It was in the sale from their website. I can't justify paying more than 200 or 300 totally max for a dress that I'm going to wear for 2 hours of my life.

Could you give me the details for the dress maker in Feltham please? I live near by and would be perfect as they can measure me themselves. Thanks very much

    Yep...more early hours visitors :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Was just wondering if anyone has used the Chinese site GoWeddingDress.com ? I have found my dress dress on there but all the recommendations on the site seem a bit dubious. E.g. one was from Martin in London!
Also found a nice dress on Perridress but not sure if this is a legit site either?

    Any thoughts anyone?
  • ps just read some bad reviews about Peridress on another site so will stay away from that one for sure!

    Hi Ladies,

Well after going to a grand total of one wedding shop and trying on 5 dresses I had set my heart on the Allure 8506 and then for whatever reason went and bought a dress of ebay that is the total opposite!!! Its beautiful and was a bargain but really don't think its me. Everytime I wear it I am convinced it is but then I overthink it and keep going back to the Allure dress....help!!!

Am now having a real dress wobble as we are getting married in April and I need to get a dress ordered if I am in fact going to get my first choice. I found a chinese company who so far have been great answering my queries but has anyone ever heard of them? Sharonbridal.com

    Reasons for the ebay dress

Its very sparkly (I am a human magpie)
    It fits
    It was cheap
Shows off my b u m - big + for OH he loves anything that shoes off my curves

    Reasons for Allure dress

Feel like a princess in it
Love the corset back, shows off my waist
Is long enough to cover my feet so I can wear my converse boots under :p (need flat shoes and am a size 8 - am NOT having fun finding some)
is plain so anything and everything will go with it

    thoughts anyone....??
Married the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T
Re- Renovating our 1893 build 1970's renovated property oh the joys..

The plus points you have made for the ebay dress are more personal (sparkly for your magpie tendancies, shows off your curves for OH's benefit) so it sounds to me as though that's the dress that suits your personality better. My dress is not a particularly 'bridal' style - more kind of 1930s evening dress (but with a stonking great train... :D), but everyone who has seen the pattern says it is very 'me'. I've seen loads of princessy dresses and they're beautiful, but I think I would feel like I was wearing a costume, IYSWIM.

My personal opinion with wedding outfits is that you should wear something that's like the nicest outfit you already own, but up a few notches.

Only my opinion though, feel free to disagree!

Perhaps you could post picces of the two dresses? You know how we love piccies here.... :o
