Just wanted to tell you the dress is as stunning as the photos :j:j:j

I'm very very happy (except I ripped the lining as I was trying it on 'cos I'm an idiot!)

We had a girlie night last night with bubbily and cermonisously opened it in the living room and hada right giggle. I'm just going to go on ebay and leaving fab feedback :A woop woop woop to rebelling and not having white!!

My dress from Jewlz came last week, and it's stunning. It's heavy and seems perfect, everything it should be. It's a lace up back though, so I can't try it on properly til tonight when my friend comes over. :( Will update you then. I also got my bridesmaids dresses for the older 4 from a place on ebay and they're good (£24 each) and the little boys suits (£20ish inc P&P each) and they're fine too.

I did order a dress that I sent back though, sent it back a week ago and still waiting for a refund :( they said upto 10 working days!!
If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

twenty weeks, wow thats a long time! I hope the time they've spent making it is carefully reflected in the quality :j

Hi Tizhimi. It's a maggie sottero which I couldn't find in the UK. They've had to order it from the supplier which takes around 16 weeks I think - hence the long wait!

I ordered it from Natalie_bridal its a "bridesmaids dress" (gold) but its far too ornate to be a bridesmaids dress so have ordered it as my wedding dress, its a size 12 but I'm concerned my boobs won't fit in!

honest opinions, what do you guys think? £115 including postage.

Just to warn you, its from hong kong BUT she is based in the UK and orders them from there.

It's gorgeous - does she do made-to-measure? I too may have a boobage problem....

Her name was natalie_bridal, I sent her my measurements and she recommended the next size up(14) however I got the 12 over the 14 as my friend is a dress maker and going to do something fancy with the "boobage" area adding ribbon and loops to tie me boobs in at the back. I'm a 30GG and it is too small on top (which I knew it would be as nothing fits ever!) but fits perfectly on the hips and me bum and tum.

About to go material shopping, I'm taking a client with me she needs to decide on fabric for a set and she got very excited when I offered to take her with me when I told her what else I needed to buy!! (I would do the alterations myself but its unlucky to do your own dress isn't it?) It says that its UK based but its not, its Hong Kong but its pretty obvious its from Hong Kong, some buyers have been bothered by this and felt negative feedback, the dresses are so cheap I have no idea why they were so mean and did that. I cannot speak more highly of this seller, she got back to me straight away (even though it was a national holiday in China) and I'm really pleased 'cos I thought it might be bloody awful!

    Hi Blondie,

I bought my dress from Sweetsend (the shop page for them is Victoria Rose on ebay and its based in Reading i think) and its lovely!! I paid £100 plus £20 P+P and am delighted with it!! Its heavy and well made and came really quickly!! I haven't actually tried it on properly yet cos trying to lose some weight but i've held it up and its fab!! When are you getting married? I'm 22nd May 2010 and have done nothing except dress church and hotel reception - lots to do lol!!

    Good luck x

http://giovannacouture.co.uk/ there you go ;) Their ads on ebay are also as jewlz though.

I tried my dress on last night and it's wonderful, though I should have maybe got a smaller size, but with it being a corset back, it's fine cause I can just have it on tighter settings.

I would recommend them and they do give a speedy response to emails too.

I admit £200 is still quite expensive, but when I know that my cousin paid 20 times that....it's still a bargain LOL
