If I were you I'd have a look for any sales for a dress and in the meantime try some on to see what kind of style that suits you and you look like before considering ebay. You want to know what the materials made of when your purchasing on ebay because you can't touch it before you buy like you can in a shop.

It is right that the wedding dress in China is cheaper than other countries, because the cost of fabrics is cheaper, Gloria-bridal studio on ebay
this is a Chinese online bridal store, you could go and visit this web, their wedding dresses are really beautiful!
You will be very surprised!

Hi there. I got my dress from Ebay, chinese, and I totally love it, it's perfect. It cost £65 including delivery and arrived in two weeks. Luckily I fitted into one that was already made up. The seams are strong, the boning is brilliant and the beading far surpasses the quality I expected. There is a picture of me in mine on this board somewhere! TBH I would go with it, I took a leap of faith and can't believe how good it is.

Ha, who else reckons the posters with one or two are posts, being derogatory about China, are bridal shop owners. The cut of mine is fantastic and it is exactly the same as dresses I tried on which cost over £1000. Sorry but, my reason for paying for a dress from China is it is so much cheaper and I couldn't afford a dress from a bridal shop, not the dress I wanted anyway! And certainly wasn't paying £1000 for a dress I was going to wear once, for a few hours

I also think the posters who have a v.low post and say such and such site are really good are from China

I am also looking into buying my gown from China, simply because I cannot afford my 'Dream' dress. The dress I have my eye is £1200 and I've been quoted £225 from Milly Bridal

I'm not having a go, but would you buy a fake designer handbag/ item of clothing on eBay?

• No I wouldn't Lydia, that's a very good point, but I know that my dress is not a fake, it's just a dress which looks good and didn't cost a fortune and semi resembles really expensive ones. Not biting back at you honey, just giving my view.

• I'm getting married in March next yar, and I ordered my dress from Ebay. It's great quality and totally gorgeous, only cost £80. I had it made to measure, though I went for one with a lace up back just in case, and it's a perfect fit. I'm about to order some bridesmaids dresses from ebay too, it seems like the only plac I can get matching adult and child dresses withut spending a fortune is ebay!

My wedding dress came from a seller called Topsdress, they have plenty for sale (having just had a look), though it doesn't look like they've got one similar to mine listed at the moment...

The bridesmaids ones are from g8_moment though haven't got those yet! Still waiting for measurements from one of the bridesmids, must send her a reminder...

I've just joined www.Preloved.co.uk to put an evening dress on (got free upgrade membership with todays Daily Express :money:) which seems to have loads of wedding dresses on there, it seems better than Ebay as its a type of Freeads, so the sellers are local to you!!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
