Me too. Got the code but the sky website won't accept it and asks for me to call them.

I'm not doing that as I bet their whole system is down so you'll end up hanging on the phone paying them money and get nowhere.

I wonder if this code is a scam...............

There is no deadline to redeem - just a limited number of deals. 1,000 of them

If I were being cynical, I'd say they turn round in a couple of days and say all 1,000 deals have been taken............whether or not that is true.

This offer has been an epic fail. I started to refresh the MSE page just before 1600 and got a code straight away.

Immediately the Sky site would not process the code due to an error and you were directed to call Sky.

After 20 minutes on hold we were told the website crashed, well no !!!!! sherlock did not anticipate and spike in web traffic. Also I was on the sky site straight away and it did not work so Im not convinced.

We were told to call back in about an hour and no doubt would have to spend an eternity on hold again.

As far as Im concerned this is just a cheap and nasty marketing gimmick. Why were we told to call sky if they could not do anything. There must be thousands of others like me me with sky laughing all the way to bank after all them phone calls.

This is certainly not very MSE.

This is no surprise. When I couldn't get my code accepted on their site, I used the "chat" option. The sky rep said the system was down and I should try again later. Once I read that, there was no way I was gonna call them only to be told the same thing.

As I said, this has scam written all over it and I'm disappointed Martin endorsed this "deal".

Same here, got a code easily enough. It just doesn't work with an error about having to call them, Sky advisors know nothing of the deal. I was advised to "reboot my PC". LOL

Useless. Anyone actually GOT the deal?

As far as I'm aware, everyone has been given the same code. Can anyone confirm this? Mine has K as the 7th character and 7 as the last one.
