I had no joy with the deal either.

Visited the MSE page from 16:00 and all I got displayed was sky_voucher

I guessed this wasn't correct & refreshed page several times etc, but the same thing kept coming up.

When you consider Martin mentions the email goes out to around 8,000,000 people it is perhaps no surprise that an offer valid to 1000 people will be over subscribed.

What is a surprise is that a media & technology company like Sky would not have adequate bandwidth in place to deal with, with again in customer terms, is such a low number. Also a bit disappointing that their staff appeared to have been briefed correctly.

No doubt some kind of follow up will be posted by Martin or MSE.

Either way, well done to all those who managed to pick it up!

I am seriously unimpressed. Was on the site at 4pm, and saw the description change to 'we will give out the codes tomorrow.' Rechecked at 4.30pm and the link was there and all codes gone. Am really angry. Why update the site with this note, and then provide the link

After lurking on the thread since 4.15pm, same as all of you I had a code but it wouldn't work, managed to get it working about 30 minutes ago :j on the website.

Hey all,

I am already signed up to sky from 16th aug. as I am still in my 30day cooling off period I cheekily rang them and said I wasn't happy about this being offered and wanted to cancel they initially declined to do anything but when I was adamant I would cancel ( which I would have out of principal) they offered me the 50% discount!

I did this at about 2pm today before the codes even got released , so if u already with sky it's definitely worth a try.

So when I signed up I got £111.10 cash back from top cash back + £100 m&s voucher which my sister brought of me as she was getting kids uniform and now I got the 50% off offer ! So all in all I have actually been paid to have sky for a year!
