I'm planning on getting the 4s soon. I know apple products, know how to use them and enjoy using them. I have never had a smartphone before so I want to make sure I can get the most out of a device I will be using for at least two years.0

Another thing - a guy in my local Orange shop told me he gets £10 commission for every phone he shifts apart from the iphone which gets him - a quid! Apple also stipulate they cannot display iphones alongside other phones, they have to be on a stand of their own, and they don't get bulk discount if they buy a shed load - same price if they buy 1 or 3,000 of them. I just think they are just so pretentious its unreal. The problem is iphone = smartphone in a lot of peoples minds, like hoover = vacuum cleaner, without looking at alternatives. Its ironic that some iphone chips are made by arch-rivals Samsung!0

I have very little expeireince of the newer versions of ios, but to me the iphone experience feels very much like a device on 'rails' with not much in the way of customisations compared to devices runnig android.0

Apple stipulate a lot of the contract prices and what minutes the networks can offer etc even though it has NOTHING to do with their phones and how it works/operates!?
Sadly people who only consider iPhone as a viable phone option are missing out on a lot of other great phones.
My galaxy s3 does everything an iphone can.. some things better and some worse. I've had an iPhone 3g and 3gs and my dad has a 4s... Nothing special if you ask me.
To most people, having an iphone is the only choice because... 'Everyone else has one'.0 -
Iphones are not for me. Too restrictive, a hassle to transfer stuff on and off it, and a general dislike of the company that makes them LOL
My missus loves hers though!0 -
I'm still on my iPhone 3GS and I'm sticking with it until its unusable. Just preordered a Kindle Fire HD for my major tech purchase this year.
The kids have got a Blackberry & an Experia & they don't seem to have any problems. I'll just see what's on offer when mine eventually dies.Noli nothis permittere te terere

Sammy is going to the dark side (so most say) Windows Phone 8thegoodman wrote: »Is that why even Samsung said iPhone OS is better then Android?
The Samsung maker of Galaxy S3 and Note criticise Android OS to say it is not as good as IOS. See the link below or search Google news for Samsung Android

I find it odd for Samsung to say that a few days before iPhone release. It seem Samsung want Apple to sell more iPhone.
I have tried, Android & iOS, WP is the most user friendly.
WP & 2012/13 really is Airbus A380, small scale roll out then every operator & consumer wants it.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

What apple are good at however is tailoring their software to get the most out of it.. perhaps more than the likes of Microsoft or Google Android.
Correct, the iphone is sold at many many times its build value, MS with WP7 took the MS mobile OS forward, WP8 looks like a great step forward in development on both counts.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... I sold my 4S a few weeks ago when I had a willing buyer in the family. Since then I've used a Galaxy S3 and a Nokia Lumia 710. The Lumia comes the closest but nothing really compares to the iPhone experience, so im really looking forward to buying the new one when its released.0
