Google 'narcissist' and see if any of the personality traits ring true about your ex. May help you to understand her approaches a little better and fully comprehend what you may be up against. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

My ex could have won olympic gold at bunny boiling.
Thankfully the child in the middle was hers and 19 yrs old so that wasn't an issue as i could make the decision to walk much easier but the lies she told got more and more imaginative by the day.
Apparently I was Yorkshires answer to Hugh Hefner but without the mansion, I knocked her about, i killed her dog, burnt her car out etc etc, she even hired an outlaw biker gang to do me over. When they found me they gave me two mins to give them my side of the story, that resulted in one of the best nights of my life
.
Sadly some of the joint friends Believed her so I gave up defending myself even though her lies were laughable, and simply cut myself from all joint friends and moved a couple of cities away.
I did bump into a friend of hers a couple of years ago, and said that my ex did all those things as she still loved me  !!!!!!!!!
I have a magnum of champagne laid down for the day she dies.
Edit Op you sound like a decent man, cover your back at all times, record all calls and Skype calls, and it may be worth exploring legal action against social services, but it may be worth evaluating that as one thing my ex taught me is which battles to pick.0 -

As well as narcissist, the OP should look into some of the other Cluster-B disorders. The behavior of that ex is ringing alarm bells for a couple more, notably Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Histrionic Personality Disorder, which is itself often co-morbid with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
If any of these are present, you will need to take some pretty serious steps to protect yourself from her acting-up/complaining and possibly to see your boy is protected. Having a cluster-B parent can be very damaging to a child in the long term.0
