  • Sounds fab! Good luck with all that, and won't it be exciting to receive all your seeds etc in the new year :j

It's dark and p'ing down here, seems to have been for days now, so too wet to even think of going to the lottie to check how it's doing. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a little drier for a while.

Roll on Spring....so we can get stuck in.

In the meantime, I'm going to be trying some of ICTD's recipes for veges to get me in the swing of things..I have sprouts and oranges...

Water lying on the ground here. Far too wet to garden. I wanted to plant up some of the persicaria and day lilies that are lying on the surface ready for their new locations but too wet so I'll just have to make mince pies instead!

I'm really enjoying seeing your lottie plans and photos. I bought some tomato F1 hybrid seeds yesterday - first seeds for 2013 other than my own.

    Have a good holiday

Yes, it's very wet here, too. Kind of "spitty" rain here this morning, which is much lighter than the last few days, but is now absolutely blowing a hoolie, so I still won't get to the lottie to check on it! Hopefully, will be calmer weather tomorrow...

I'm visiting family today, which would be fine but I have to pass a huge shopping mall on the A1, so not looking forward to the potential traffic tailback....bound to get caught in it both ways

Anyone fancy a choccie? I love that I don't feel guilty munching on treats at any time of the day or night at this time of year! :rotfl:

    Be Happy! Have fun!

:rotfl:08.33 on Sunday morning - you could call it breakfast...:rotfl:
We had cheese last night for the first time in months - with some lovely port but it means I may have to buy more cheese...

Yum! Cheese....I could live off cheese.

I can't imagine how awful the shops will be today and tomorrow though. I'm afraid that's my idea of hell. Good luck if you do decide to brave them.

I have a load of cheese in my freezer if you need some... :p

I may have had chocolate for breakfast the last couple of days :o it has been fabulous!

We are lucky in that we have a large enough garden to keep us ticking over until an allotment becomes available which around here takes 2-5 years

I had been hoping to spend a bit of time in the garden over the last few days but the weather here is quite wild and our garden in prone to becoming water logged very quickly so there is little point.

Mind you yesterday I did pop to the local garden centre to have a look :rotfl:

It would be rude not to! :TNow the rush for Christmas trees is abating they need the extra custom. My Mum was after something small for my cousin who's coming for Christmas lunch so we ended up with a ball of twine and three packets of seeds as he loves his little garden, and my totmato seeds will be a stocking filler too. Much more useful than socks or something (unless you grow seedlings in the old ones!)

  • Bad influences! Honestly, the two of you...encouraging me to eat chocolate and cheese, and go to the Garden Centre...:rotfl:

I might just have a wee trip out tomorrow to have a mooch round my local one ...can't imagine it will be too busy, and it'll while away a couple of hours quite nicely, lovely and relaxed before coming back to more wine and chocolate.

It's tough, but someones got to do it :D
