    Thanks Ed, I don't think for one minute I'll be beating you..LOL! I am seriously a plodder. Was delighted with my time though although worn out afterwards, was so much faster than usually run. Currently pushing myself with my gym runs speedwise.


    Ive been saving stuff in my wish list, then editing it with how much it costs, then adding in when the price drops. But yes might try your suggestion, thanks.


    I agree Goldie, there's some little bargains to find. Plus I have quite a lot of SB and TCB AGC "free" money to spend.


    Think I mentioned got nominated for an award at work. Well have now been shortlisted. Big 3 course meal and presentation meal in November. A very posh frock do. Each category was shortlisted to 3, so TBH really shocked got through.

    Hurrah its the weekend. Been an extremely long week and now run complete, roll on the weekend.


    Managed to do house insurance, via TCB and a good deal less than my quote. Result!

    You get nominated from public or staff for "excellence" but don't find out who nominates until the award ceremony. All those nominated (more than 500) are informed, was in local paper and intranet, they then get shortlisted to 3 per directorate. Then its announced at a big ceremonial dinner the directorate winners.
    It is quite a big thing where I work and everyone talks about it. I've never been nominated before, was gob smacked to get shortlisted. Quite exciting. They apparently come and take your photo and stuff pre ceremony. Had the letter but no ones been yet.


    on a separate note, we raised over £1000 with the HM for the ward.

    Lazy day. Gym with dd2. Then a shop. Had some time to sit and read.


    Tomorrow doing a 10 mile race, which I booked as through woodlands and sounded lovely.


    Dd2 wants her room decorated as her birthday present (end of Nov) so need to sort out wall paper etc as hope to do half term week. Not sure if will manage this tomorrow but may be able to surf the net for ideas with her.

    Well done with the award and good luck with the race! I have a 10k race tomorrow which is barely anything compared to a 10 miler.

    Just heard some very sad news about 1 of my nurses who has died tragically, shocking.
