My HM was definitely the toughest thing I've done physically. I almost burst into tears at the end of mine. Running for over 2 hours really takes it out of you. Give yourself a couple of weeks rest and you will be booking the next race
Was in bed by 8.30, Dave said "thought you wanted a glass of wine?" nope.. bed calling louder.
Plan to carry on training, but drop long to no more than 10 miles.
Have signed up for great northern application alerts.. not sure yet.

You must have needed it! I'm hoping to do a quick 3 mile run in the week and a 10 mile run each weekend. We shall see! Don't seem to find the time to run anymore!

I am debating this at the moment but don't want to make a decision too early so may have to settle for a different race if I miss the applications.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I think my concern is not having a goal. Decided that my Tues / wed gym run I will focus on speed. Have my Friday night beat the stress run but may be limited as simply getting too dark. Then like CathT a 10 miler on sunday.
AJM - I really fancy doing it. I definitely don't want to though if we both can't do.
Driving feels like heaven. Its like a different world. To be fair, I only had 1 window that worked, with one held up with wood which let the rain in, as well as a crack in my wind screen, doors that were hard to open and shut, seats that have had many children on them, a burn in my boot were we tried to cook sausages on a stove whilst camping, overhead compartments with doors hanging off... I was ready!! Savings back to nil but hey ho. Were nil a few months ago so just start again. I don't feel guilty, Ive waited very patiently...Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

I have just signed up for the great north run reminder  do you know roughly when it opens for entries? If I do this I will need to get the nod from the doctors first so would like to get that organised in advance. I can't believe I am seriously thinking about this!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Booked a 10 mile race in 2 weeks, was able to get 2 free charity place then have paid the full entrance fees into the charity. So win win. Has cost me the same but goes to hospital.

Christmas shopping. Bought some Dr Dre headphones (Tesco £49) for Dave, spotted on grabbit forum, will collect Tuesday (save postage). Been searching for stocking fillers on Amazon as have quite a bit of swagger AGC money. Have a order sorted, all free postage /add ons.
Checked again grabbit tonight but nothing new or exciting.
Determined to keep October spends down after car purchase.
Have decided my car is a below 10k gift to myself. Can't believe how lurvely it is to drive.
Work mon and tues then off as celebrating 20th wedding anniv with "mini" break.. can't wait, have loads of groupon. Hotel, afternoon tea, evening out, bus trip..Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Been shortlisted for an award. Knew had been nominated but now get to wear posh frock. Fab.
Broke up today, bags packed, going away in morning.
Tried click and collect from asda tonight as bit last minute and couldn't then get a slot that fitted (needed to ensure food available for kids and grandparents who are staying at ours) was free and really quick. Will definitely use again.
Also did the same with bargainous dr dre headphones from Tesco. Good cost cutting postage same as driving past anyway.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Hi, been reading some of your diary and it's very motivating. How did you manage to lose weight? I used to run but haven't done it seriously for a few years now as I've put weight on and find it hard to run carrying extra weight, I can really feel it, like someone's put one of those heavy body suits on me! Did you lose weight first then start running? Your runs are SO long!! I only ever managed about 5 miles max.
You have done so well getting your mortgage down too. I'm getting frustrated at the slowness of it all. We don't have much spare cash with 3 teenagers and low wages. I've just started a new diary as thought the old one was a bit out of date.
Keep up the good work, it's really motivating me0 -
Thanks Niftythrifty. Main way was calorie counting, My fitness Pal is a free ap, which I used throughout (and still do). I always kept fit through classes but started short runs which grew very slowly, with only one long each week. I think running has become a huge stress buster too, esp our Friday night run. I have definitely found my body shape has changed since I started running but did run at my heaviest. I like the way you can set fresh challenges.. distance, but also speed for different times. So on a Saturday in the gym I run as fast as I can for 10 minutes, on a Tuesday I do the same for 40 minutes (obviously not as fast) but Sunday is all about the distance.
I know how you feel about having 3 teens...
I enjoy the challenge of mFw, such as growing my swag money towards Christmas presents. I love having the free stuff too or finding a real bargain. Not sure I could give up these even when we are MF.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
