Good morning HDK - sounds like you've had a productive couple of days :)

Well done on the Ebay sales, was work tolerable yesterday?
  • Yes NP, have done very well with clothes sharing. I regularily start in oldest wardrobe and move down, when get to youngest, her stuff goes to BFs youngest. Had a few tough years but well worth it, last one at primary now!

Yes, thanks Edinburgher. Had someone off sick and for about an hour or so thought I might end up doing the night shift as well (which always makes me extremely unpopular at home), but fortunately managed to cover! Was very busy but then doesn't the day just fly by.

Have relisted and added some stuff from loft. 27 items, don't think many wil sell but can but try...

Spent day helping dH with his shed (now just needs 3 sides and a roof) then wrapping christmas presents. Am much further along than thought, with just male parents main presents to buy and a few more for kids. All but DD3 wrapped, was gone 9 and was fed up, so thats tomorrows job as off most of next week (Half term). Was going to batch cook and iron but didnt have time.

I don't think I can do Christmas until next month, even although there are some bargain selection boxes / stocking-filler sweets in the shops, I physically cannot bring myself to buy anything Christmas related (it also helps that I still have over a week until pay day though;))

Go-go-go 27 items on eb*y:T I thought it was exciting enough having 6 items to watch. If I had 27, I don't think my excitement levels would be able to cope! X

Yes, NP, its sooo addictive. Just cleared DD2 cupboards and now all that on too. Not sure if any will sell, have grouped items with 99p starts. Have piles of stuff everywhere so fingers crossed it sells.

Done shopping, ironing and finished wrapping but still have lots more to buy....

Haven't done any studying, which its very naughty. Watched "Despicable me" with the kids instead.

  • Lazy day, got up at 9 and havent really done much. NEVER have days like this and so Im just going to enjoy! Just watched homes under hammer but without ironing. Did 2 days worth of stuff yesterday... Just need to remember to take girls to music lessons later.

Might do some batch cooking later. Chicken me thinks.

    Least NSD!

Is homes under the hammer a program where annoyingly chirpy presenters talk to cash buyers about their nascent property empires? :p

Yup, that's the one. Great, isn't it ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Yes, love it. Like another guilty secret :rotfl:

Thanks GG, glad im not on my own!

Id love to give up work and do that. Unfortunately wouldnt dare. Once Ive paid off the morgage (again) and the kids are sorted. DH electrician by trade which is very useful. We have done 2 extensions (the most recent being part of a huge renovation project as bought a real wreck of a property which is awesome now. Would definitely renovate again. We nearly bought a derelict pub but they had sold off all the land around it. I am a reasonable DIY'er. Decorated the whole house on my own, while DH was doing the electrics etc. Also tile. Have also been known to strip woodwork and have a fetish for power tools..

It tends to make me feel queasy - I'm one of those rare souls on the MFW board not planning a BTL empire :p
