Car boot sales can be quite good fun. If you are happy for most items to sell for 50p then you should do OK. You can sell different things there than on eBay, for example I sold some almost new bed sheets for about £3 - they wouldn't have sold at all on eBay. Equally sold a decent microwave for a fiver - again wouldn't have sold it for much more on eBay. I sold most things for 50p or 20p just to get rid but had checked how much they were going for on eBay first if I thought they had any value.
Do you mean you are struggling with knowing when money is coming in and going out now? I have a spreadsheet (another one!:D) which has the dates of the month down the side & I write down when everything is going out in terms of direct debits so I can look at it on the 16th of the month and think right we still have X, Y and Z to come out of that account so I can only take this/that amount out. We get paid at different times so its handy to make sure we always have enough in there to cover the bills.0 -

Thanks Ammonite and GG, that makes a lot of sense. Currently I just have a note book and each month start a fresh page, write down the left side my DD but it doesnt correcpond with the when and how much. I felt quite smiley at my balance on Friday but then realised that my DD and groceries actually completely annihilate it plus still have extras that haven't factored. That would be a good idea. Do you do a fresh one fresh copy each month or just updateAs I too lurve spreadsheets that makes perfect sense.:T
Quite happy for stuff to go for 10p etc, its just the amount of energy for the money and have I got enough stuff to make it worthwhile. If Im only going to make a fiver then I'd rather give to school fair then freeze my bum in a field.

Morning HDK - I'm not a huge fan of car-boots I'm afraid, unless it's a lovely sunny day and I'm with a friend, and not really giving a toss about what sells, and what doesn't*
*hardly any of the above has every applied, hence my dislike of car-boot sales....also, even when selling things for pennies, I have had people try to barter me down to practically fresh air prices:rotfl: I would rather give to charity when that happens.
Hope you enjoyed the extra hour this morning XFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

I set it up for the year with all DD's, salary and weekly spends (I have a set amount planned each week for food/entertainment etc). I then update once or twice a week with actual spends.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks Np, suspect booting not for me.
I suppose I could job lot / bundle on ebay, see if that sells items that are expensive to post. I sure there must be people out there who want stuff to sell.
Thanks GG, I may have to play spreadsheet later....

£33 worth of sales. Have relisted most of unsold stuff. Posted parcels yesterday and some more to do today.
Selling a really used blanket box, have described it as so, pictures as so, 99p start bid and wrote that 99p due to state. Have 20 watchers! Makes me feel a bit nervous as it is so "used". Also getting messge interest. Rather sell it now for a few quid than someone be unhappy with it.
Spent very good day yesterday assignment writing, will try and finish it today (less than 500 words to go) as its only a project plan (2000 words) and isnt graded, so dont need to reread and reread.
Once ive done this (I will do my assignment first... i will do my assignment first...) will have a play and then diary catch up (its like missing an episode of a fave tv show). Couldnt get near the computer last night as DH also doing a course and he was chuntering into it all night.
Had a few fresh ideas for ebay stuff... gosh how utterly sad am I. Have a pile of books that friend brought me, but not my genre, so those. Plus loads of old piano music that is cluttering up a corner..... (i will do my assignment first... i will do my assignment first........)Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Firstly, well done on managing to prioritise successfully and watch HUTH :T
Also for doing assignment;)
Blanket boxes are v popular on ebay, as can be sanded, waxed etc so I'm not surprised you have so many watchers. There is a blanket box in my attic (left from previous owners), however as I have only peeked from the ladder - been in this house for over a year and still not set foot in the attic! - I'm not too sure of it's condition....
I'm certain you will be pleasantly surprised with the bids X
