yes, thanks Edinburgher. Thought I might add them to the pot when i use them as it gets a bit confusing.

What sort of stuff do you sell Ammonite? At the moment Ive only sold old white goods and old garage sort of stuff.
Unfortunately I seem to buy a lot more than Ill ever sell!

Have split day so far, course finally accessible but am now behind, so have done an hour study, hour jobs, hour study, hour jobs. As I find a lot of the reading like walking through treacle and my mind wanders (usually ebay and here), have been relatively strict with self, but now eaten dinner and can no longer bear it!I just keep thinking 1 more year, which is just 5 assignments... keep chanting but still struggling. On the positive, I am brilliant and finding other jobs to do... DD's at music lessons tonight so will be able to do a bit more then.

Currently distracted by nutty kitten kicking a ball around the lounge, then picking it up (in mouth) and running with it, now back looking like a puppy wanting its ball to be thrown...
Other kitten "steals" hair bobbles, and carries them all over the place (house and garden).

Have been on adpoints which was now working but only made 60 points as seemed to go funny again and stop adding. Also watched all the ads!

Updated grocery challenge - clearly not going as well as planned as only £170 left for rest of month and no wine in house.

Meat defrosted, potatos peeled... batch cooking now in session (need a bigger freezer)

Thought I might add them to the pot when i use them as it gets a bit confusing.

That's what I do - exchange them for Amazon vouchers, 'sell' these to myself and put the equivalent from my spare money into the OP pot. Probably just financial gymnastics for the sake of it, but it works for me ;)
  • Yes, I think if not Im in danger of getting myself in a complicated ravel.

I also sell myself FF and TCP vouchers - again its part of my sneaky OP'er tricks that don't share with DH!

Did tell DH that Im saving TCB money for a new telly though

I sell all old bits and bobs that I no longer want or need but also if I get any gifts that I can't use from last Xmas (sensitive skin and ALWAYS bought loads of toiletries), I always keep them until this Xmas as they sell better now as the market isn't saturated with them as they would be if I sold them in Jan/Feb.

I have literally sold all kinds of things though. Strange things that you wouldn't think would sell like half bottles of perfume. I always check the completed listings now to see if something I'm about to throw away has any value and if it does I throw it on. Strange buying patterns from people on there too, had an old (but new) cross stitch kit listed for months at 99p, no bidders each time I re-listed. One day I come home to find 2 people outbidding each other for it, sold for about £8 when it had been sitting there at 99p for months, very odd!

I gave up on adpoints yesterday, will try again today. Lots of technical glitches methinks!

Sorry your meatloaf didn't work out so well - I've tried making it a few times in a small bread tin - but it always sticks like concrete. Cue visions of me sweating away at the tin with a sponge scourer the next morning

A similar (but easier) dish would be something like a sausage plait - latticed puff pastry with onions, peppers, capers, sausagemeat and hard boiled eggs. Cheap and dependable, looks quite smart and you can usually make a large enough one to do two meals.
  • I like the idea of a sausage plait, may have a go next week. Thanks, Tilly

Yes, sausage lattice sounds a lot better than my efforts! The meal looked a bit like the Mr Bean sketch where he goes out for his birthday dinner in a posh restaurant and when his dinner arrives he tried to hide it, under salt pots, napkin, even his glass. His dinner looked identical to my meat loaf... Nasty

Water bill DD, gone down, so redirected cash in OP S/O.

Overdrawn which seems very early in month.. whoops. Also no bread, milk etc so need to go shopping after swimming lessons.

DD2 and DD3 on tv ban (naughty last night at music) so now jumping on trampoline, isnt it amazing what happens when tv is off!

No new bids (1 so far with a few items having watchers but generally slow start). All my old perfume or toiletries not keen on get snaffled up by kids, but but will have a rout round.

Rolls or 'corn on the' cobs? :D

I'm putting off checking eBay until my lunch break, just grabbing a few cheeky minutes to read diary updates.

Do you use a few different survey sites?
