20% LTV? That is awe inspiring to a youngster like myself (not calling you old mind :) )
  • Good! Although having 3 secondary school children is a bit of a shocker.

Did enter the race in a nice position to be fair (being MFW old house) but does really feel doable now rather than mountainous. I am already planning what I'm going to buy.... (take 2 years to do all my wish list... new (not new new as carp driver) car, not gizit lounge furniture, new pans, new cutlery, light fitting utility... sorry very unexciting...

Just hoping I can still keep a strong push till my hours reduce and then I'm already putting feelers out to get my 2nd job up to full time total as although full time has been official since jan (was 34.5 + extra shifts every month before that) as its a higher grade.

I must say I feel very very lucky that I could work round the clock, every day forever, that's the joy of nursing. My DH works for LA and they've announced 30% reduction in work force, his comparable is taking early retirement though so although his workload will potentially double (he's already drowning) at least he should be safe but we could (if necessary) live on my wages or vice versa which is a good place to be.

That is good, but I suspect that it would be very negative for people with a compulsive streak (like myself). I'm just lucky in that I'm a lazy sod :D
  • Its not good when you have a family either, as short tomorrow and I spent an hour covering a shift knowing that if I didn't cover it I'd be working it and Dave would be v cross!

I can't say I actually want to work round the clock! Although struggle to say no to Overtime as its increasingly difficult to come by, they much rather I came in and got time back eventually...

Can I join lazy comp? just lately my body does not want to get out of bed. Its such an effort.

Saw SB NP, didn't recognise her without a bump. When had day off Thursday I managed HUTH (ironed) have come to the conclusion its addictive, you cant watch a bit, as you need to see the ending. a guilty pleasure. Once this assignment in im going to paint the little lounge, was thinking sage green?? (am carp with anything remotely artistic) may need to get the lady who bought my old house to advise as she's brill with stuff like that.

Have spent all day undercoating phone box, Daves friend has given us the regulation phone box paint (quite difficult to get hold off) as he has one and you have to buy in a big tin. Plus gave us some black and white paint (white for inside ceiling, black for plinth) bought gold (for crowns) in a bargainous moment last year in a "cheap" shop for £1. Hoping its nice tomorrow so can do 1st coat of proper stuff. Then just need to replace some glass but his friend has a machine, so just need to find some glass and arrange freebie cutting. Strangely excited, looks fab just with undercoat (red oxidising paint)

Girls were sleeping in tent in garden tonight but have just returned as full of water.

Do what you like. As long as it involves no effort on my part :rotfl:.
