And to cross Oxford off the list:

Lots of bits of London 1hr = 10 miles in peak hours
Plus 3 beds and you are probably with kids so you would also want to be catchment for a semi-decent school so you can strike most of the houses found so far.I think....0 -

Shrewsbury gives you 129 within 10 miles - not sufficiently up on the area to tell you which are good and which are dodgy but there's some choice - if you go to 30 miles out theres over 1000!Adventure before Dementia!0

Chester I'd be suprised if there wasn't somewhere along the A55 into North Wales that would get you a 3bed with garden for that - an hour would have you near enough Bangor and I could certainly find you somewhere there!
Chester - first off the list - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-23141676.html?premiumA=trueAdventure before Dementia!0 -
Any links for Chester or Shrewsbury from someone that knows the areas?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
