hi do all travel insurance have to be done through email, as i have no printer i would like it to come through the post cheers
yes the last three online policies I got came as a pdf on email, when I didn't have a printer I used to email stuff to myself at work where they had excellent fast colour lasers!
They made me redundant so with a tiny wee bit of the money I bought a Dell 1110 laser, it's great for b&w btw.If it takes a man a week to walk to walk a fortnight how long does it take a fly with tackity boots on to walk through a barrel of treacle?0 -
Sorry if this is a really daft question but if I book a family annual policy do we all have to travel together ?
Myself and partner are going to America for 10 days at the end of August and its cheaper to get an annual policy, also only a few quick more to include our 17 year old daughter on the policy. She's not coming with us on the USA trip but we are planning a family trip to Lanzarote in winter so it makes sense to include her on the annual policy.
So, when you book a family annual policy can you leave someone behind so to speak ? !0 -
I always like to take travel insurance with excess waiver, but no insurance comparison site seems to do comparisons specifically for this? can anyone advise?0

I am going on holiday to Turkey for 2weeks and am trying to get travel insurance for a single trip. I am taking my sons friend with us. Does any one know if I can take out a family policy and include him. If i try to take him out a policy on his own money supermarket just says we do not have any policys that match, and there are no phone numbers that i can see to contact the insurance companies.
Thanks0 -
Most travel insurance companies will only cover children if they are the dependant children of the adult travellers. The qualify for a family policy you would be asked if you live together at same address as family or would have to tick a box online.
It would be better to insure your son's friend as an additional traveller on your family policy as then you would only be charged child rate with a lot of companies.
I suspect that you can't see quotes online as a child travelling alone on a policy would require an endorsment on the schedule that would be done manually - certainly that is the case with the large company that I work for.
Try looking up the numbers on google or even better www.saynoto0870.com.
Lot's of companies out there. Will not mention company that I work for as I don't beleive it is allowed! Two week single trip policy for family on our value for money policy would be £21 + 5.25 for friend. £37.50 on top level of cover friend inc.
Hope this has helped you, have a nice holiday!0 -

Not a daft question!
Most family annual policies offer an independant travel trip limit. The company that I work for offer 21 days for anyone else in family named on the policy. The lead insured would have the full trip limit determined by the level of cover. Check with the insurers when you call around for quotes.0 -
Thanks koolmummy for advice - I'll try and get a phone number for the companies of thisking of using as I've only done online quotes so far.

This is probably a dumb question, but I need to buy some travel insurance for my daughter who'll be holidaying in Spain with some of her school mates for two weeks in August.
The girls are all seventeen year olds and it seems that they're not able to book their travel insurance independently - as proposers - thru the moneysupermarket website and obtain their own travel policies in their own names? Should (or could) I change my policy to include my daughter, despite the fact that she'll be travelling independently with her friends?
All suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, just had to cancel our holiday for saturday  as little one has chicken pox, bought through moneysupermarket & its an AXA policy, just wondering if they could only refund the cost of my sons holiday & not the rest of the family, as he is the one with the illness?0
