Does anyone know whether you can extend your insurance if you have already started your travel? Son is travelling in Central America, he has got an annual world wide policy and his one single trip is for maximum 60 days. He wants to stay a bit longer. I phoned the insurance company and was told, he will not find any company willing to extend his insurance whilst he is not in UK. I asked whether he can take it in the country he is travelling and was told no.I remember when he was insured with STA, I did manage to extend his insurance befroe he expires. Can anybody help with this please? Thanks

Just to let you know I have used Direct Travel Insurance on several occasions and found them to be very fast at sending out documents and responding to a claim I had (I got the claim form the next day - but I was just too lazy to fill it in and send back). They are (or the last few times) AXA based policies with AXA support numbers.

However I normally book direct from their website which for a standard european family deal it equates to £46. However I noticed that it is only £40.15 on moneysupermarket.com. Is this the same cover? It is only 65p more expensive than the cheapest and as I have used them before I would be happy to use them again.
    Cheers,

i am currently having trouble getting travel ins for my family, the problem being that my wife had breast cancer over five years ago, and it seems no insurance company wants our business because of this. the only thing we can do is pay £375!!!!!!!!! with all clear ins or we can exclude "cancer related conditions" however no one can tell me what they would class as "cancer related conditions." any advice would be fantastic. i'm sure there are people out there in the same situation. p.s we are travelling to america so do not really want to take any risks.

Sorry if this is the wrong place. Quick question.

Me and OH going to Antigua on 1 June for 2 weeks. Flying with Virgin and they offered us £45 each. Is that a good deal or shall I go elsewhere??

We won't be doing any dangerous sports etc.....

This is rather difficult. In the past I did something similar with Endsleigh, but they may be less helpful now.

Or try the web-based firm Global Nomads (actually in Australia).
