  • Blodwen I wouldn't worry too much, you might be ok coming off it. I'm still waiting after having the implant out in April (after only having it for 6 months)... that's going to be fun!

Just made the syn-free cake with eggs and quark, waiting for it to cool before trying it. Looking forward to weighing in tomorrow, although I'll be nervous to step on those scales!

Well it wasn't as bad as I thought! I put on 0.5lbs which for being like a human version of Pacman for the past two weeks isn't too bad!! :T

I'm back on it now. I've lost 8.5lbs in total so I only need 5.5lbs to get to the first stone! I'm back at the gym and have even booked some odd balance board class thingy!

Thank you for the welcomes!!:D Does anyone else make the quark/FF Fromage Frais/hot chocolate mousse's? I've recently found that using chocolate orange options makes it far scrummier!

PS: OOoh - whats the syn free cake recipe? I miss cake!!
  • Hi to all the newbies and congrats to all the losers!!:j:j:j

a wee sideline note - does anyone know of anything that will reduce swollen glands? a friend of mine has randomly got swollen ones beneath her jaw, but as far as i know she hasnt got the cold (i think she had it and got rid a few weeks back)... i said i hadnt a clue but would ask :rotfl:

any banter from you lovely ladies and gents?
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
  • Hi everybody - hope all are ok! I'm really quite enjoying following the plan.

I haven't had breakfast (don't do breakfast)! I have however just taken a smoked salmon and broccoli quiche out of the oven. Hopefully will be nice because normally when I make it it goes wrong!!

I'm going to my friends for takeaway tonight so think will have a grilled chicken kebab.

Does anybody know how many syns takeaway chips are?

I don't think you can - they can quite often stay swollen following being ill. I don't know how long is usual so it might be worth her popping to her doc to get checked.

    standard portion - 17.5

  • I am terrible for sugar cravings at * week. I find Sweet potato pies and carrots raw curb it well.

I am terrible when my hormones kick in (as they have done today) . I am envious of women who have relatively stress free periods because i suffer pretty badly. I crave sugar/junk food badly when i am due on..

Is it a SW quiche? If not then you will need to syn for pastry.

Would also add syns to the grilled chicken kebab as it will be cooked on a hot plate (probably with oil)

Yeah it is a SW quiche and it was yummy! Turned out well!

I usually ask them to grill the chicken for me so not sure how many syns to count...it doesnt ever feel greasy so don't think there's too much oil (if any).
