Enjoying the journey to becoming debt free - paying back the credit cards

Firstly it is NSD 15 today and the 1st target is reached - now extending to 20 for next stop on the way, also no clothes spend day 15 too.

Banking checks done and on track to reduce overdraft by £92 this month which is the first stage of the plan completed.

I've more or less finished the dissertation! Finished the writing this morning, popped it all together tidily and now just a few final reference checks to complete then that's it! Having tomorrow off and will do the final checks on Sat and get everything ready for Monday. Can't believe I've got there and its done! The relief is starting to flood my shoulders at last after the invisible tension starts to dissipate. So pleased, really pleased and whatever happens happens for the mark I receive.

Have been smiling all afternoon about finishing the dissertation - really happy about it!

So I walked up to town without feeling guilty to pay some money into the bank - more 20p 50p and £2 and copper to come to a total of £22 to add to the holiday fund.

Then had a look for a birthday present for me and found a lovely chain which I'm having a think about while still looking as there is plenty of time to look still.

Then called in to pick up some holiday brochures for next year and had a nice chat with one of the travel agents who also went away on her own and we had a really nice chat about doing this. Nice to know I'm not mad for thinking about this when some of my friends think I am.

This evening I've done the final read through and checks on 2 sections of the dissertation which are ticked off and completed

Another 6 to do so that's 2 a day and all is done

Having a lovely chilled out day so far. Posted an ebay sale, called in to do the shopping and got some heavily reduced rice to stock up with as I'm almost out of all of it with concentrating on eating up with I have in over the last year!

Just finding some recipes to use up some of those dried beans I have in stock - they seriously need to go!

Will read another 2 chapters today for final checks and that's about it - nice!

Decision made - I'm submitting it tomorrow. I've almost finished the final checks so it can go in for marking. Then I'll hand in the paper copies on Monday.

Had a good day today and did the housework leaving just the kitchen to clear out of folders and books and paper and I get my kitchen table back for the first time in about 9 months! I just need to work out where to keep them all! Well in the spare room until I get a pass mark!

Loving the feeling of spare time again after the last 12mths. I might even venture into the garden on Sunday for the start of the big tidy up in there!

Plan for today is as follows

Already been for a long walk with the dog which was very nice and warm and humid and overcast out there.
Banking checks all done and ok
Another NSD of course
Had a mosey for a holiday next year to check out some prices and places
Will submit the dissertation today once I've finished reading in when I wake up a bit more than now!
Then will give the kitchen a good old clean and wipe down
Watch the athletics of course!
Another dog walk
Then flop down and lounge around.

A weird feeling this weekend with the writing finished.
I really don't know what to do with myself and didn't realise how much of both my mind and time it took up for all that time

Ok, I did all the checks and checks and more. Then submitted the dissertation electronically feeling more nervous than I have done for a long long time!

It's gone in, no more worrying, ok, maybe a little, until the paper ones have gone in on Monday.

Karmic vibes noticeably around today with a big sale on ebay today for an item that's been listed and relisted many times is finally going to a new home and I get a nice chunk to repay the credit cards. Cheered me up a lot after that nervous feeling

Kitchen cleaned well including windows and walls and units all study stuff moved upstairs and books ready to take back on Monday

A good relaxing day today. The first Sunday in a year like this when I could please myself and take things easy without squeezing everything manically into a day.

2 hour 10minutes long dog walks which is the first time in 5 weeks since I've done this and I feel almost back to my usual self at long last.

Decided against the garden today and did a bit of batch cooking instead to make some easy after work reheat meals as I had eaten practically everything out of the freezer. 6 portions of veggie ragu made to eat with pasta. Next one will be a veggie sheperds pie. Also made a nice summery lighter lamb casserole for tea using up lamb from the freezer and very old potatoes. Lovely!

Well, the dissertation is in - printed hard copies handed in and all is done as far as that's concerned. Time to forget about it now and not stress about the mark.

It's time to chill and relax about it I think before starting the final assignment. Pleased its finished however apprehensive I feel about it now it was a massive piece of work that was very hard going and its done.

Another nice long walk with the dog this afternoon, a little bit of the garden tidied up to fill up the recycling bin before collection and half sorted out the final bit of paperwork that needed doing - chuck out for recycling and shredding - still a way to go and then all will be in very tidy order!
