Not bad for the evening after a day at work, long walk with the dog in the warmth today and very pleased to get some weekend jobs out of the way too!
2 more days left at work before a week off. Missing my week away this year bigstyle but no pennies to spend on it this year. Saving for a holiday next year though to get away. Had a think about the study days and have decided what I'll be working on this weekend and mon/tues next weekfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Bit of super speedy paper reading today inbetween appts. Manic busy late clinic as per usual these days.
Last day tomorrow for 10 whole days - yeah! Can't wait for a break. Car booked in ready to go Monday and repair payment sorted by the person who caused the damage. Looking forward to getting out running this weekend and running back from dropping the car off and then running to pick it up again.
Off to work experience tomorrow afternoon so see how this goes and I'll run off to do a couple of errands before like finally paying that budgeted money into my reactivated bank account. Then I will dutifully update my very old budget ledger - unused of course! Can't wait to get to grips with my balance sheets of ins and outs and keep track!
Another NSD today
This week's plumbing incident has brought it home to me how important it is for me to have a contingency fund to pay into monthly. Will think it over and see what I can come up with alongside the other budgetsfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I fabbed myself today in my favourite abstract leopard print prefectly suitable for work dress with blue wedges, sparkly blue earrings and a metal bow belt in honour of the Summer Solstice and had a nice compliment about my outfit.
A totally excellent surprise on WI day with a 2lb loss - get in! A surprise as not trying to lose any more weight and 6 weeks of maintaining too.
This weekend is full of study for me, half the house is fabbed up leaving half to get on with this weekend - oh the life!
Paid in the money into my account today for car budget which was a nice grown up thing to do and I can finally step away from the rigid cash payments as long as I keep track of the budgets and spends which I am doing so far.
Next lot to pay in is the birthday budget fund and track on the budget balance sheet then its the Christmas fund.
Why is it I always get those much sought after £2 coins in my change right when I have no pennies left and really need my change? Still I've trained myself to the extent now they go into the £2 pot automatically and so they went the 2 from my change taking my total to £142.
Super exciting task of counting the pots up to deposit into the bank over the weekend too

A brilliant start to the day - off and out after breakfast with the dog for an hour or so around the country park then back out for my first run in 2 weeks. Thought I would get out while the sun was out and before the grey clouds roll back in once again.
Run went well and although at times I felt like I was going backwards the time was the usual 38 mins so all went well! Forgot to take my inhaler before I went - hasn't quite clicked in my head yet at all times to do this before a run.
Having a little rest with a coffee and toast then I think I'll count up those 20ps ready to pay in next weekfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Budgets updated today;
Grocery budget - gone over - really must stay on track next month as this is the one I'm always going over
Petrol budget - on track and under so far this month which is good
Birthday budgets about to be spent next week on mum and brother then the savings plan restarts again next month
Birthday budget for me - £252 saved so far which is on track and I'm really pleased with how I've done no idea what I will buy myself yet and in some respects it seems a bit silly to treat myself while I'm so short of money. Well some of that will go towards my few days away and some towards a present.
Clothing budget - goimg well so far on track for another no spend month which will be brilliant
Also updated outgoings which have come down again from when I first did this. Need to stop going over the overdraft limit and get back into credit next - who knows how? Finding this bit difficult to do
Cleaning this afternoon along with some ebay listings - needs must and all that, got to earn those credit card repayments some how!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Totted up grocery budget to discover over by £18 which was less than expected but still not great at this stage in the month.
Have worked out a new way to approach this by drawing out 2 week's worth of budget every 2 weeks and reduce the budget by £20 for the month. I will keep this money separate and stick to my lists like glue - I can do this with some small changes.
Also planned to reduce the petrol budget too by lowering my maximum weekly spend a little more by £4.
Cleaning finished, ironing to do shortly, my measurements updated, then off out for an hour with the dog who doesn't exactly look like he wants to go!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Just spent an hour or so listing on ebay and gave up watching ted - what a load of rubbish, should have not bothered in the first place with that dvd
Also discovered 4 interviews have been transcribed - yeah! Meaning tomorrow and mon/tues is spent finishing off the first 2 sections plus resding then for the analysis sections. Will see how that goes then work out how to print off the transcripts this week as it would be really great to get to that stage by next weekend but let's see how much I get done this week first before getting carried away.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
8 more items listed on ebay - 33 on there now with quite a few ending today. Will relist those that don't sell later on tonight to take advantage of the free listings.
Next time around will pop those items on I've put off for some strange reason!
My focus is now fully back on making money to repay those credit cards after losing focus a little recently - fingers crossed then!
NSD 18 today - all going well.
Had a nice long walk with th dog this morning, dyed my hair which really needed doing and listed on ebay. Will stick a couple more items on there later too which I've photographed.
Will do a couple of hours later on for uni work and also saved the transcriptions I received yesterday after downloading a compatibility packfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Right then after much dillidallying today I finally got around some study - read through some papers super speedily, wrote a bit more on methods to make it up to about 3hrs for today
Listed 2 more things on ebay
Made a frugal tea using storecupboard ingredients and reduced lamb from the freezer to produce lamb tagine also using up old potatoes.
Tomorrow will be off and out early to drop the car off, run home then start on some more reading about analysis and that's about it for tomorrow apart from the usual long dog walks
Feel like I have my ebay mojo back again after snowballing some repayments and can get the highest CC debt to under £2000 which will be a fantastic achievement in 3months. Considering at one point it was over £4000 on high interest. Full steam ahead!
Will be checking in regularly with my financial notebook which I've been dutifully filling in for the last 9mths. It's really helped me focus and work out what else I can changefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
1 sale on ebay - oh well at least it went for the price I originally listed it for in the beginning! 34 items listed on there now and a list for me of new photos to take for next time
Totalled up the CC debts which come in at around £7200 over 3 cards - progress being made and feel like I'm getting there. Definately worth not having a summer holiday this year and so few pennies. The hard work is worth it and all this plus the budgeting means I will have both. Certainly feel better having faced up to it and doing something about it than I did last year when my head was stuck in the sand about all of this.
Hard budget plans for next month which means no extra spends at all apart from a new kettle as mine is on the way out, unless I can eek it out for another month. Plus a birthday card - that is it!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
