NSD 15 today - nice!
Long day at work, managed a bit of uni reading at the same time - hard work trying to make sense of it but hey needs to be done!
Did Shred after working really not fancying a 50min hard exercise session, only the thought of making kcal space for that yummy sticky toffee pud made me do it. Wasn't a great session today, more like the ones that get done and you're glad its over with and in the bag.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Amazing! Just discovered that ethics approval has been granted for my study!
Yipee!
Lots of hard work to go now consisting of;
Finish literature review
Methodology to sort
Write questions and organise
All with full time job and half marathon training and circuit training - eek! Lots to balance and juggle once again for the final 6mths before completion. Deep breath time I think!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Firstly a NSD 17/20 - that's it for Feb as its car tax day tomorrow
By chance I logged onto the jobsite to find out I've been invited to 2 interviews which was a surprise. Think I'll go for the experience as its been a while and altho not a perfect fit it should be another step forward on the career change path and hopefully prepare me for the one I think is a good fit. No idea what on earth they will ask me - better have a look tomorrow!
That cheered me up after another difficult day at work which is getting much more the norm these days sadly. The run I went for after work did the trick of emptying my head out of all that rubbish I don't need from others. Really glad I went, I enjoyed it and the tie was ok too - 36mins for 4miles. Happy!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well what to say eh?
Interview attended this morning, first one in years. Pleased to say overall it went really well, not intimdating, friendly and reaffirmed my belief that this is the area I want to work in. I will hear at some point if its a yeah or a nay. I'm expecting a nay as half the questions I answered were rather weak. I thought of the interview as a learning experience rather than a definate job opportunity for me. This is exactly how I've thought about it. I've made a note of the questions to work on improving the answers for next time around and also my feelings about how it went for me to remember not getting too downbeat.
Back home for a well deserved bacon sandwich and a little rest then its on with some cleaning, dog walk and maybe a run. Then I really need to sort some of my uni work out that's scattered all over the place into some kind of orderfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well..............it was a nay afterall. Expected though - also received some good feedback with a couple of things to work on and also did better than I thought. Not down at all about it, in fact, feel like it was a really good experience with some points to work on - a warm up practice in fact!
Half the cleaning done and dusted, washing practically dried outside which was a nice surprise and saves drying in the house.
Then lastly, after the usual dog walk, made myself go for my 7 mile training run which felt like a bit of a slog but a surprisingly better time than I expected!
A good day all round today and well worth taking the time off work. Tomorrow I'm off out to visit mum and go out for a coffee and a chat which I'm looking forward to.
How could I forget, also received a 0% credit card BT offer from the evil CC - now that certainly was a surprise - will be BT-ing away this weekend and should be able to get one card down to a 0 balance leaving 1 card at full interest rate and 1 card on 9mth 0% and 1 card on 12mth 0%. Things already looking much better than 6mths ago before I started to take the repayments seriously at long last. Now that is something to smile about!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
A lovely day with mum today who treated me to a great jacket found with 70% off in the sale for £10 reduced from £35. A lovely walk around under a bright blue sky and bright sun. Updated mum about the job hunting news too and bought her mother's day present which she also liked - a great day all around!
Dutifully paid the gas and elec bill as per the plan and now £80 lighter but I know I'll be happy about that when its bill time. Plus its all part of the budgeting process I'm attempting to stick to along with the car budgets
Balance transfer done and I'll update the cc balances once they've been completed - now down to 3 cards for the first time in 4 years - getting there at last and that certainly feels good, not great but better at the very least.
2 cards are now on 0% rates -I'm wondering if the cleared one, in couple of months time, will offer me a reduced rate like the other ones did. Will wait and see as it was a surprise that I was offered them after being turned down last Oct when I asked if I could have a lower rate. Just shows the benefits of reducing the balances and paying them off.
Aiming in 6mths time to be in a much better position again and also see how far I've got in a year.
A highly unexciting Sat night here as I attempt to order my piles of uni work
