Thank you for your reply.
I was driving on the day, she was driving on the date. The notice states the wrong day or date. My Mrs went into that street, I didn't. I just drive past it. I am sure I didn't hit anything. She can not remember hitting anything.
I am glad someone was there looking when your accident happened.Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -

Funny how your car was in the location on both.
You claim to know nothing about any incident but in your opening post you ask if you can get off on a technicality.0 -
My car was not on the location on Both. On the day, NO, on the date YES. I drive past many streets everyday, it does not mean I was in the street. I don't drive in that road. It is a small road that I did knew it's name till this letter (I had to use google maps to see where it is) But do we go past it, yes we do like the street after it, which I don't know its name. On the day, I did not go into that road. On the date, my Mrs did.
I know nothing about any incident. It is a dodgy area that street. Lots of motoring scams going on these days. Hence, I was asking the question if I can save myself the hassle of proving not being involved in something, which I know I did not.
Anyway, Sgt Pepper, you have not answered my question yet.Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -

They don't need a nip because there has been a collison.
I had received both NIP and S172Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -
I don't know how this will help you to answer my question. While driving on the main street, she remembered something. She wanted to go back home and used this street as drive through to another street to lead back home.
The technicality question.Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -
Anyway, thank you for those who wanted to help (especially vaio).
I am going to ask in pepipoo as suggested.
Many thanksBe nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -
simple did you or wife have a incident or near miss on or around them days in that area or not ,
answer yes or no
if yes that might be itthere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0 -
If you're absolutely sure you were not in the street when you were driving the car, then I suspect the incident must refer to the date when your wife was driving the car and actually used that road.
How long ago was this, and it there any CCTV in the area (surrounding streets) that can confirm the route either of you took on either day?
Have you asked your wife to think very long and hard about the day and be sure there was no incident - no collision or anything else that she might remember about the day. Anything she saw in the rear view mirror? Anyone loitering in the road filming or making note of things? Anyone working on their car/getting into or out of it? Did she have to pull in to pass another car, or another car stop/pull in to let her past? Just wondering here if she did something like go through a gap and force another car to clip a parked one or something? not that that ought to be her fault but worth casting her mind back to the day and walking herself through the journey to be sure there was absolutely nothing that occurred that this could relate to?
I think your next step ought to be to speak to the police and state you have no recollection of being in that road (which isn't strictly a lie since you didn't and the date could be either) and cannot recall any incidents that this may relate to. Ask for details about the alleged incident, including the time and what happened to see if it rings any bells with either of you. Until you know what, exactly, you are being accused of, you can't really defend yourself. The whole issue with the date thing might be useful if it progresses but much better to try and rule out mistaken identity or a mis reported incident first.
Just also to say, I think the assumption that it's a rough road and therefore this is a fraudulent claim might be a little bit of a reach. Unless, of course, you have evidence that this has happened before in this area? I drive through (and park in) plenty of rough areas/roads and have never been fraudulently accused of hitting someone's car before. Although I have had my car hit and no details left and nobody saw or heard anything (and taken the hit on my insurance for it too)."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0
