Well, I managed Level 2 of the Shred this morning - was planning a run but the weather is shocking so abandoned that idea.
I'll probably be very stiff tomorrow as I haven't done it for ages.
Its my birthday today and I'm not overly thrilled about being 41
Its now a constant battle to keep the aging process at bay.
I treated myself to a new moisturiser and hair dye today ( dyed my hair using the box I already had this morning and realised half way through it was dark auburn not dark brown:eek::eek: Now have a nice stripey tiger look going on - whizzed round to Tescos (in a hat) and bought some new dye which I'll do tomorrow morning (good job I'm not going out!).
The house has been cleaned, the bed changed and 1 load of washing done with another one to do tonight.
Just need to wrap some pressies and then I'm all sorted for Xmas.0 -
Happy Birthday for today - don't be worried about your age at all, its just a number afterall!
Hope you get your hair sorted out if you don't like it - tiger stripes could look nice and then they'll fade away over a few weeks
As for me, not much to report really apart from feeling quite bloated full of rubbish today even though I haven't gone mad eating rubbish, oh well, hoping to get out for run tomorrow as it looks like it will be a dry day for a change.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Thank you for the birthday wishes - still don't want to be 41 though :rotfl:
Just been thinking about the new year and wondering if I can save £350 in January.
Will be a tall order but doable (just).
So from now to the end of Dec pay month I need.....
Petrol - £50
Food - £80
CC - £90
Dad present - £25
Xmas money - £50
Spending - £50
That would leave me with a surplus of about £50 after all DDs have gone out - have bought pressies, paid the phone bill, spent money on the dog and squirrelled away the savings this month too so its not as bad as it sounds.
I'll be paid on Jan 15th and so am looking at how much I can save from the next pay packet.
All DDs come to £900 give or take a pound or two, I'll budget £120 for food and £50 for petrol and £150 for spending.
That would leave me with £455 left over. I'll need to pay the CC to so will put another £100 towards that - more than the minimum payment but I want to get the balance down.
So that's just over £350 left to put into savings. Very doable and not squeezing my lifestyle too much so I give up and splurge.
Seems straightforward doesn't it - so does every other plan I give up with!0 -
Forgot to add ....
I've decided to reinstate the little pots I have in the house for spare money.
There's one for copper coins and one for at least £2 a week towards either holiday spending money or a car service (how exciting, not!).
The copper has been cleared out of my purse this evening as a start.0 -
Took the dog for a mile long walk to test him out - he really enjoyed it so we'll be going again later for 30 mins or so. Then did a 2 mile run - not very far but hard work in the wind - hoping its been a bit of a mini-facelift pushing against the wind.:rotfl:
Right, time for a shower and an effort at rescuing the hair......0 -
Ahhhhhhh you kept that quiet! A bit late but:
I had my 40th  this year and the 41st is creeping up all too quickly!:eek: (have seen a few MSErs around the same age so looks like there's a bunch of us!)

We're still waiting for some blood results - its amazing how slowly things go when they're not an inpatient anymore.
He seems loads better now - almost back to his old self - so fingers crossed.
Just redyed my hair after yesterday's disaster and its turned out really well, also did a face scrub, body scrub and a good moisturise so feel all clean and sorted now - I WILL NOT LOOK 41!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Have also cleaned the car and hoovered it and remembered to fill up the washers in anticipation of the mammoth drive home tomorrow, just need to put petrol in this afternoon now.
Going to make the most of the dry weather and get out with the dog again this afternoon. Burn a few more cals......0 -
