Haven't done any stitching tonight just looked for patterns. Think I have sorted my design for the card exchange. Just got to sort fabric and floss now.
Maria - the blackwork fairy sounds interesting. Thank you for your help.
FlatEric - I agree with Louise I think you would feel really bad if you decided to stay home. You could still get quite a bit of stitching doneon the journey there and back, as well as the day of the run.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Me too! I love Christmas, and all the 'cheesy' stuff you just listed is exactly what I like best
I will be gutted when the kids get older and the 'magic' goes:(
Now I have read your update.....I really think you should go :j:j:j
She sounds like the best sort of person to make things for :T:T:T
I don't have kids, so I create the magic for me.
Forgot to answer you properly earlier. Yes, I still have some of the bright orange aida left. The piece I bought from eBay was enough to stitch that Meg & Mog twice. But I might use it for a couple of smaller designs as I don't think anyone else I know would appreciate Meg & Mog so much. Have dug out the framed design ready to hang up next month.Haven't done any stitching tonight just looked for patterns. Think I have sorted my design for the card exchange. Looking for patterns can be fun in itself, though, can it? Although you tend to find more things that you MUST stitch soon.
Flat Eric-Go! You sound like you need a little break and if you're gonna feel guilty staying at home, there's no fun in that. Enjoy it.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Welcome to the Cafe mrs baggins.
In your circumstances FE I would probably go away - think I would probably regret more not going than staying at home if that makes sense. Sounds as though a couple of days away will do you the world of good. Have fun whatever you choose to do.
Take care everyone

Oooooohhhhh what have you ordered then???? Sorry but we are a nosey bunch and we like to know what everyone is stitching.Sometimes the larger projects can be a bit daunting by the size of the thing rather than its difficulty. Just take a section at a time and you will get there. Keep posting regular updates to let us see how you are getting along and I promise you there will be plenty of support and encouragement sent to you. Good luck.

Had computer problems again last night, ended up swapping from explorer to firefox and in doing so missed the post from Trixie and Mrs Baggins.
Trixie - hope you had a good holiday. Maybe you could PM Caroline and see if she has had anyone else ask to join the exchange late.
Mrs Baggins - welcome to the Cafe. Have you thought about framing the design with a small mount. Poundland have some rames which are black and have a double mount inside that might be ok. It's worth looking. If not the lavender bag sounds a good idea.
Woke up with a bad throat this morning and can hardly speak. Not sure whether to go into work and get laptop and work from home or just not go in. Don't like being ill when I could work.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
