Oh?
I would have signed mineis it supposed to be like a secret Santa thing then? I'm guessing my postmark would give mine away more than a signature :rotfl:
It hadn't cross my mind not to sign it - but I will wait and see what everyone else is doing.
Well - I woke up this morning, more tired than I went to bed, so I got up and tackled some ironing - yes even at this unearthly hour. I am trying to get things done and out of the way in order to earn some me/stitchy time later today. Will go down to Mum's shortly to clean her kitchen floor (left steam mop there yesterday) but knowing my very independent Mum (she's 85 on Wed) will have been on her hands and knees doing it to save me!!!!! Honestly she puts me to shame.
Hope you all manage some stitches today.

I would have signed mine too.........
Goood luck today Emma. I'm sure I could get there but not on a sunday on the day before my hols. If it's anything like here it's looking miserable outside so hopefully that means more people looking for indoorsy things to do.
sweetcarer - hope you get everything sorted out with your car and feel better soon.
I managed a whole........... 10 stitches last night. Was on a hollyoaks later catch up and it was sooo gripping but eughhhh.
now would anyone like to swap their days stitching for sorting out the kids games/ puzzle cupboard and playing hunt the pieces??
Blesss DS1 - got up this morning "is it only1 more long sleeep until grandma comes?" "yes it is" " ok I'm going back to bed"........... "ermmm doesn't quite work like that but good try."loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
thanks for the well wishes. I feel a bit worse today. Hubby has gone to see friends so I have the whole day to myself. Hmmm whatever shall I do? There is always housework but I am far too ill to do that. Looks like I'll have to stitch all day:D
I was going to ask about the cards as well because I was going to sign it but then it wouldn't be anonymous.
Good luck Brednall. I've never sold anything for charity but I'm thinking of bringing cupcakes into work next week to raise money for the McMillan coffee morning.
Mrs M - One of my HAED's has blending filament in but I haven't stitched with it before. I have heard that thread heaven helps. And using shorter lengths of thread than you would normally have.
Happy stitching!

Oh thats so funny. It reminds me when I was little. I can remember going to bed very early on xmas eve because Santa was due and I thought it was the best idea ever because once you get to sleep, well time flies and xmas would be here but my dad thought I was mad!
So its raining and rather dismal outside. Just cooking breakfast - sausages, baby toms, beans, waffles and bread :j
Not sure how much stitching I will get done today but have started the xmas card so will be continuing with this :T
I keep looking at Mouseloft but they don't have any new xmas cards0 -

My new HAED suggests using 2 threads of it together. Didn't take long before that dropped to only using 1. The coverage is fine and very MSE - using half as much
Thread Heaven also helps, makes it a little less "catchy".
Well.....I have only just emerged from a lie in and you're all up and about and busy. You're making me feel guilty! I'm off to make a cup of tea and stitch. Yay!0 -
DMC have some mini christmas ones.

hmmmmmmmmmm not realllly sure "give me the fizzy pop cup" and "do you want me to shut you in that hole......go on get in" are REALLLY words I want to be hearing DS1 saying to DS2...............................but see no evil.......loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Does anyone know of any sites/programs that are available which allows you to select a style of text, then type in your message which it converts onto grid paper and allows you to print it for the purpose of cross stitching.
I have used this site in the past with success but find that the choice of font is limited.
Any help would be appreciated.
Its lovely and sunny here today albeit a bit on the nippy side but I'm not complaining (honest).
