Yay! Finally got enough posts to show you this! It took me 18 months from start to finish and I'm really proud of the end result

As a huge Disney fan I absolutely love that - think I've seen it for sale in Florida :-)
  • thanks for the comments 're stockings they are only 4" tall, they took me 10 days in total so not to bad. the pattern comes from the making spot and is in there sale for 75p at the moment. downloaded a few more patterns this evening, so if any one knows where I can downloads a few extra hours that would be great lol

Maria I think it depends on what and who its for and whether you are going to be stitching "random" butterflies or following the patterns that are there. Could you go with a couple of balckwork ones and see what it looks like and fill them in if you're nkt happy with them.

Just to say although I can now get photos to flickr can't do the copying of the code from flickr to here so still no photos. Will try to get on the computer at work today and post some.

spent weekend working on pigs, ive just started the 5th and final one ten have all the back stitch to look forward to.
realized with the 13 in 2013 challenge we've got less than a month for each project so ill be needing regular kicks up the behind to keep on track. spent some time over the weekend trying to work out the order i need to do them in so i get them ready for the required dates.

hope all are well and staying warm woke to a light covering of snow here but nothing really excitng, but sky does look hopefully heavy sorry im a huge kid when it comes to snow

  • Laura - Your Disney kit is amazing! Feels very magical and makes me want to go back to Disneyland :j

Maria - I really love the stockings, I can't believe how fast you've gotten them done. You must be a super-fast sticher!
  • Oh, I forgot, I was also going to do a little progress update.

Still doing my four days on one project, four days on another. Both are going well, although it's hard not to get a little bit impatient since I know they'll take months. But I'll get there in the end ;)

Also, one of my good friends from school has just announced she's booked her wedding for the end of June this year. They're getting married in Aruba on the beach, so of course, I'l want to do them a sampler. I think I've found one, it's called 'Starfish Wedding Chart'. If anyone wants to see it it's the first one that comes up when you search on sewandso. Don't think it'll take too long and seems quite appropriate.

Maria- That fabric's lovely. Very unusual. I like the idea of doing blackwork on the butterflies that are already there. Maybe in pastel colours?
  • thanks ladies think I will go with black work and see how it looks

Julie I like the star fish chart and a very good price as well

  • Thanks Maria, I thought it seemed pretty reasonable too and not too many colours, so that's a bonus!

I don't know if anyone shops at blacksheepwools website but they have some really nice kits in their Needlecraft Clearance section with good discounts. Sorry for the temptation, but they are really nice!

Just looked out my window and it looks like a Winter Wonderland!
