I have the 25th anniversary dvd of Les Mis recorded at the Albert Hall - do you think you need to see this first ?
No you don't need to. You're actually probably better off seeing the film first then you don't sit through it thinking 'ohh that's different / they changed the words there/ that song has been cut short' like I did:o:o

reposted from the sw thread as I'm too lazy to type up again !!
has anyone seen/bought the book by Nadia Sawalha called The Greedy Girl's diet? Spotted this advertised in the back of the Morrions mag but having looked on Am@zon, the preview is rubbish as the index doesn't display so no opportunity to see what recipes are included.
Found three of her recipes online.

blue_eyed_girl did you use white aida for the 12 days or the gold speckled as per the chart?
Hi Laura - I think it is hessian coloured aida (14 ct) I am using as I was having trouble getting the gold fleck aida at the time in the size that I needed. I think it will look ok though.
ETA - looking at the pic it does look more white than it is in real life. It looks like a sandy colour. I used flash on camera and maybe I shouldn't have.
Your disney picture is really beautiful and well worth the 18mths of time stitching.

I am after a bit of help please....
I am thinking of stitching a Winnie the Pooh design called Tigger's Squares.
If you google Tigger's Squares B71 on google and select the images tab - the first two pics that come up show this design.
Unfortunately I have lost the thread and material. I can replace the material and the thread numbers listed are the Winnie the Pooh threads (which I have - I think). However, you will see that each Tigger is bordered by a green square and yellow shading (done I think in half cross stitch).
Firstly I'm not sure whether to stitch the design as it is or whether to stitch the designs individually and stick in a pen pot.... this one
So now for the help I need - as I say I've lost the threads - so a bit stuck at what dmc colours jade green and soft yellow are ?? BUT what I was also thinking was what other colours would work for the border and the shading ???0 -
Shelly - thanks for the info re the photo. I'll see if I can download a flickr app and see if it works.
BEG - your 12 days of Christmas is looking good. I can't remember if you are stitching it on one piece of fabric or 12 individual ones.
Laura - I think you are right to be proud of the picture, it's really lovely.
Maria - your stockings are great, how big are they? You've finished them really quickly.
Flateric- can't help with the colour thread for the background, I don't think I'd bother with a background. I like the idea of doing them separately and them in the pen pot.
Off to try to upload a photo now.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
