GRRRRRRRRRRRRR Just caught a button and my post has just disappeared - must take more care
sk00bie - dress and shoes are gorgeous.
23rd - congratulations on your wedding.
fos - angel RR is lovely.
maria - magazine tree is lovely and unusual. The christmas tree is so sweet and lovely touch being decorated by the little ones.
Ruth - sounds as though you've had a lovely trip.
chaplin - :hello:
Have tried to stitch some sequins onto 'Tis the Season' tonight without success. I am sure I have read somewhere that you can do this by using a french knot but the holes in the sequin seem quite large and the knot just pulls through. I dont usually have problems with french knots so I think I will just have to get the glue out.
Might sort out the threads and fabric for Boofle tomorrow.
Take care everyone

Hi everyone
this is just a quick one, I'm still on page 66 trying to catch up. New job is keeping me busy and I'm also doing FlyLady when I'm at home so not as much stitching as I'd like. The trouble is I've just found this:

I absolutely should not buy this. I have far too much stash already (including at least four other HAED) but I have fallen in completely in love with it. It is calling out to me. I already know who I'd give it to if/when it's finished. Plus it is on sale too. Hmmmm. What to do, what to do? Can I put it to the vote?

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Elle - don't buy it. Don't buy anything until you need it. Buy kits / charts only when you're about ready to start stitching them.
Only exception to this is things that are massively reduced i.e. at a car boot sale for £1. Because we all love charts and kits and we all love far more designs than we will ever be able to stitch in a lifetime so don't waste your money on things that you won't use.
If you REALLY love this design then take a look at your current project. How long will it take you to finish? In that time will you want to stitch this as your next project? Or is there something in your stash you'll want to do first?
I find that my tastes change slightly with each project I do and there's no point buying too many projects in advance as I'll change my mind about them before I do them.0 -
Just letting you know that I have computer probelms at the moment - need new one!!! It's taken me nearly 2 hours to read 2 pages.
I am interested in the round robin. Will catch up with rest of pages at work (lunchtime) tomorrow and add my thoughts.

just a quick one regarding storage folders and stitchbows. I purchased mine from across town stitching. I think that was the cheapest I found. After that, I think came Tandem cottage.
RE: RR I like the idea but the commitment of multiple stitches is daunting, I thought it was one that just got passed on and then at the end the person who supplied the fabric kept it or it got donated for charity or something.

anyone know the best place to get Christmas Green aida ? I want the aida that is a proper bright xmas green rather than the dull xmas green I have ended up with in the past.0

I take no responsibility if anyone decides to follow this up

All I will say is that I have bought from this site and if you like hand dyed fabrics these are lovely. This is the link to the site0 -
was sorting through my stash yesterday as was intending to start the xmas letters that are in Cross Stitch Collection this month but was not at all inspired by the material I have and wonder what festive themed/sparkly aida, fellow stitchers would recommend??
thank you :j
You asked about Christmas Green Aida - this is quite bright
You might also want to consider the snowflakes aida or the sparkly aida?0
