SNOWY DAYS - Tatty Teddy in a pink jacket with holly
Nice little design and because tatty is covered up there isn't as much of that backstitch on view :rotfl:
This is kinda cute. I wouldn't stitch for me but maybe a niece. And I knew you'd comment on the hidden backstitch!

haha you know me too well :rotfl:

Advert page 31 - I love the tranquil look of 'Winters Hush' by Dimensions but I just know I would never get it completed.
I love this too, like 'A Treasured Time' and another similar one that I can't remember off the top of my head. Will have to decide between them all.

I have stitched A Treasured Time and a design like that really needs to b a labour of love! 4 strands ...blended....still gives me nightmares....:rotfl:

I am not sure I am doing it the way you are meant to be stitching it - I am stitching it like back stitch. It also contains one of my favouite stitches - Algerian Eye - has anyone else got a favourite stitch - I know alot of us don't like french knots.

It's looking lovely, that shade of purple looks really fresh against the white fabric.
I would have stitched it like backstitch as well btw

Have been away this weekend (the one I mentioned in a previous post) and thank you to all who replied and said I should go - I did - and I have had fun. Have also had a good laugh - feel better for it (I think!) ( just dreading the return to work tomorrow now).

I'm really pleased to hear that, glad you had a good time :j:T:T

Some great work and love the Ikea frames.

With regards to the circus alphabet that a 'chart leecher' was looking for, I want J A X O N to do for my son but my hubby is buying me four of them and my brother is buying me one for Christmas.....think they are round the fifty pound mark beach but they look great.....Would love to get Hug and Kiss to but think hubby might divorce me....lol

Its not white fabric is a very pale lavender - antique lavender think its called. Thank you all for your kind comments.

b-e-g = is this any good to you for your red frame - can't seen an overall size - it may work http://www.johnlewis.com/290321/Product.aspx?s_kenid=0d8eb326-3c0b-68a8-8a7c-000005504d76&s_kwcid=12x740514

or keep an eye out in charity shops, ebay and even pound shops - you just don't know - seen they had xmas stuff coming into home bargins yesterday.
Off to work soon - don't like this time of year when I go to work in dark come home in dark - feel like a coal miner never seeing daylight.

    Keep well everyone

the original fairy one i ordered was out of stock and i didnt want to wait so ordered another fairy one and I have started. I may even get it finished in time for december if I get a wiggle on. Managed to complete a tiny one for a card but found a little frame in pound shop so have put it in that.

And thanks to laura for spurring me on to get my vision sorted! at my lens check up I mentioned the trouble I was having threading needles and they suggested a pair of glasses to wear over my contacts just for this type of work. It took me about 10 minutes to thread my sewing machine the other day! so as soon as I have ordered new lenses in an old pair of glasses I should be able to see and no mistakes!
  • Just dashing in to send big hugs to ruth_honey. Hope it wont be too long before you're back with us in the Cafe. Good luck. xx

Morning all, just popping in before work.

I could do with asking a question about mounting my card for the exchange but thought I'd check to see if it was ok to ask before I actully did so. It is a fairly generic question and I won't be giving anything away about the design itself. I will need to explain something about it and also give measurements.

Will it be ok to ask my question?

If you lovely ladies can have a think to see if you are happy to know something about it and the size and let me know. If the concensus is you are happy I will ask if not then I won't. will check in after 6pm tonight to see what people think.

    Thanks.

fos - what a lovely surprise for your SIL!!:j I think I would have done the same. After something has been up for a good while I wouldn't mind giving it away to someonw who would really appreciate it. The dreamer looks stunning, I think you did best out the swap - you got space for a new pic and got to make someone's day :D

    Thanks Louise
As an update my Dad told me on Sunday that "Country Bloomers" is on display in my brother and SiL's lounge and "looks very good" so I am delighted. Like you say I had the enjoyment for a while (and I loved stitching it) and now someone else is enjoying it Result:D
