Why did the payment in March fail - you deleted the direct debit?

A few months down the line you want to use the service but have not been paying for it for the past months even though you signed up to monthly payment?

Phones4u would be in right to expect you to pay for the missing months before allowing providing you with any further service.
The OP didn't have access to the service, it seems to have been denied for non payment due to failing for whatever reason.
Which is probably correct as the contract can be cancelled at any time and has no minimum term which leads me to think it's paid for in advance rather like PAYG

Assuming that it was not the OP's fault and details were checked and refreshed why should she be liable for a service that was not available to her ?

If it had been made available it would be a different matter

You wouldn't pay your newspaper bill if you didn't have any papers delivered for 6 months would you would you ?

So many assumptions - OP has not given the full story. An add-on for hotspots, non payment for some reason or other stopped paying it, then tried to set up payment which failed (it probably would if the network did not initiate the direct debit setup). Too many questions....

Exactly ....but why do you say "Phones4u would be in right to expect you to pay for the missing months" when the service was not made availbe to her ?

Because I have not assumed the service was unavailable! The OP stopped using it for while, stopped paying for it and then decided to start using it. That is how the first post reads and no other indication to say otherwise.

The OP said "Payment has failed very month since so I've not had access to wifi. "

The OP doesn't say anything about stopping using it for a while. where does she say she stopped using it for a while ?

Apart from the fact she was unable to use it because it wasn't availabe ;)

Ask yourself why 6 months elapse with payment failing and how the OP was aware it was failing if the direct was not reinstated in March. Why and how it failed ever for the first time? And why wait 6 months to fix something that is broken.

Because the OP said today is the first time to try and sort it out, not that that makes any difference.
Obviously wasn't at the top of a list of priority ;)

Please explain why she should pay for a service that was not made available to her and also where "she says she stopped using it for a while"

And to explain the same thing over to you again.

Whether it was top of the list of priorities or not - makes no difference. You are making yet another assumption without knowing facts. The real question is why not try to sort it out earlier.

And your second issue - why should she pay for a service - again you make another assumption. Just because the person was not using the service does not mean it was not available. It is also not clear exactly if the service was canceled/stopped by the company and if it had been canceled, when? Or what the agreement for the service was etc etc. If there is an outstanding balance, its got to be paid and the company can refuse to reinstate the service til the bill is paid.

As per usual you are avoiding all the questions and making things up as you go along :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Where is there an outstanding bill for a PAYG service ?

Answer the question asked earlier.....The OP doesn't say anything about stopping using it for a while. where does she say she stopped using it for a while ?

And then answer why she should pay for something that wasn't available ?

As usual you are peddling away from answering anything - don't have another argument with me. Get the facts from the OP and then come back and say something worth replying to. Everything seems to fly over your head.
