Mushy Peas

Options
Hiya

I was going to say that my local Lidl has tins of mushy peas for 11p which I thought was a good deal until I saw that Tesco everyday value mushy peas are only 4p

Has anyone tried these? Are they any good?

  • My mum likes the Tesco 4p mushy peas, I have ASDA smart price mushy peas which have also now gone down to 4p and they are not bad for the price. It's all down to personal taste though.

  • They taste fine to me, I've stocked up on them in case they put the price up!
  • Yep I'll agree that the Tesco mushys are lovely. I too have stocked up for the winter. :)

The Asda ones for me are the best they have less colour in them more a dull green. But the other week they shot up to 16 or was it 18p from 4p so I didnt buy any. I also like the Tesco ones too haven't tried Morrisons or Sainsburys

I think Aldi ones are 8 or 9p.

Keep the ideas coming for how to use them. I like the soup tip. Thanks.

Am thinking of making hummis, normally chickpeas.
And for tahini (sp) could get from Holland and Barrett on their one penny sale.
