....that when you want to lose weight you feel the need to discuss it with people at all? jfdi.
I have a friend who keeps saying "oh I'm so fat, I really need to lose weight". She's not fat at all, and is most definitely smaller than me (I'm a size 10) and it's really annoying that she keeps going on about it, without actually doing anything constructive.
I wouldn't have a problem with it if she was discussing her exercise routine, or this really awesome healthy dinner she made the other day but the constant "ooooh I'm so fat" just makes me want to ignore her.
Perhaps find a sport/exercise/hobby that you can chat to her about and maybe get her interested in too, so you could workout together? Or invite her over for a healthy home-cooked meal instead of her forcing takeaway on you?
Good luck with it, I think it's great to want to make a change but sometimes it's a bit of a delicate subject and there's this preconceived idea that women are expected to moan about their appearances all the time. Make it positive!
